Hi guys i have a 2001 zr7 and have a missfire that is a strange one!! With the bike running its ok at idle take the revs up to around 3000 and a heavy missfire apperas.If i disconnect either the volltage regulator or the stator connections the missfire goes and the bike runs perfect.
I have checked the charge rate and at 3000 with missfire i have 13.50 volts and appears to be stable.I have just bought the bike and noticed the tacho does not work and removedd the clocks to find a resistor burnt out.i have tried with the clocks refitted and no different.could it be cdi unit? any ideas?

not sure but could it be tacho related as this looks to be burnt at 1 of the resitors?
