Heard rumours about a film which has shocked people who have watched it. Only been shown at Festivals so far and doubt it will be released into mainstream cinema but I am sure a copy will find its way on to the internet soon.

So you think you have seen it all???? Think again, i reckon i have just witnessed the most disturbing extreme movie ever, and you know what, for the first time i have no idea whether to give this film a good review or a bad review, its not a film that you can enjoy, although it was very well made and preformed by the actors, so in a visual and technical term it was impressive.. The premise for this little shocker is simple, a semi-retired porn star is lured back to his profession to do this once in a lifetime shoot so he can make lots of money and secure his family, but he has no idea what the shoot will contain, so we the viewer have a birds eye view in the dark and very murky journey he goes through, as the porn shoot becomes more extreme he begins to realise what he's got himself into and the director has a shocking surprise for his lead actor in what he wants him to do, not to spoil anything (its a taboo busting subject) but lets just say that if you put Canabal holocaust, Irreversible, Emanuel In America, and Martyrs in a blender, throw a baby in the mix and you have an idea what your letting yourself in for.....I know some people will be very upset watching this film and some people will demand that this film be banned, there are some scenes of extreme sexual violence that will anger some of the mainstream crowd, i just hope that the censors will leave this film the way the director intended.. Be cautious when you see this movie, if it gets a proper release this film will get mixed reviews, it will be sure to divide people apart and thats the beauty of this controversial film, love it or hate it, you will never forget it. I must admit i was relieved that the police never came barging in and arrested me and everyone at the preview...

Anyone else want to watch it or from what you can see, has it pushed the boundaries a little too far?

Yes but this is a properly edited and released film, not a murder.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sal%C3%B2,_or_the_120_Days_of_Sodom#Plot

Much, Much more fucked up film then the one your talking about... I can't think of anything more fucked up really. It's more fucked up then watching that hammer video, and I've seen lots of fucked up shit.

Might just say fuck a few more times: fuck fuck fuck...

But seriously check it out, read the plot[/quote]

My mate told me he had seen this film and said it's the worst film he ever saw. The director of the film was murdered after this was realeased.

August Underground's Mordum - (torrent)

IGN.com wrote:
Good lord. After listing 9 other movies, we’re starting to run out of adjectives for “sick” and “disturbing.”

But this is #1 dammit. This is Fred Vogel’s Toe Tag Pictures, the new masters of gore. This is the second movie of a planned trilogy. This is the one, the only, August Underground’s Mordum.

So after all we’ve seen and heard in this list, what makes this film #1? What makes it a cut above the depravity of all these other films? Well let’s start by whipping out that thesaurus and finding some words to help describe this film:

Sickening. Depraved. Disturbing. Unsettling. Horrific. Disgusting. Brutal. Disconcerting. Repulsive. Upsetting. Sordid. Troubling. Nauseating. Ghastly. Filthy. Revolting. Nasty.

Needless to say, it’s pretty messed up. The August Underground movies are faux-snuff films, documenting the exploits of a group of serial killers as they maim, torture, rape, humiliate, and ultimately murder their helpless victims.

To say this film looks real is an understatement. Toe Tag Pictures are expert with their use of special effects and makeup, and it shows (they were hired as the special effects team for our #8 film). Don’t get us wrong, the film looks like hell; it’s shot on video, with poor lighting, shaky camerawork and fuzzy audio. But this is part of what makes the film work so well. It honestly looks like a group of sick bastards are documenting their horrific exploits; so much so that Fred Vogel was recently arrested at the Canadian border when he tried to pass through with a box of August Underground DVD’s in his car, as they thought it was a real snuff movie (you can’t buy that kind of press though, come on!).

This film is hands down the sickest movie we’ve ever seen, and by far the hardest to watch. It’s not uncommon for most people to turn it off in the first 5 minutes, and even the most hardcore among us had to take several pause breaks in the film to walk away and clear their head of the images they witnessed.

While some argue that this film is a piece of trash, that is it garbage that should never have been made, when it comes down to it, whether you like the film or not, Toe Tag completely accomplished what they set out to do, and in that sense, the film is a success.

And for that reason alone we recommend it for anyone who is looking to push their boundaries and witness the sickest of the sick. For the rest of you, well, let’s just say that this film is the epitome of “not for the weak of heart,” and is really, really, REALLY hard to watch in one sitting. And yes, that is a dare.

Quote:
Brief Review: "August Underground's Mordum" is a piece of vile, sleazy, horrific, justifiably maligned, and incredibly effective filmmaking. It stands, unqualified, as one of the most disgusting, depressing, and filthy works of cinematic art that this reviewer has ever seen. Notice I said "art"...

The synopsis...
Well, that's kind of a joke, really...to "synopsize" this film is a bit of an exercise in futility, as the story is mainly concerned with moving a trio of lowlifes from one place to another, whilst allowing them to brutally rape, murder, and generally destroy a variety of other lowlife-types. To say that these people are severly sociopathic is perhaps the understatement of the century. To its credit, "Mordum" presents the most vividly accurate portrayal of extreme sociopathic, murderous behavior ever put to film. Now, stop for a moment and look at that last sentence. Read it again. Yes, you read that correctly. There have been many films that developed reputations as being as close to "real" snuff as possible. Most notably among those, of course, is the "Flower of Flesh and Blood" episode of the notorious "Guinea Pig" series. Well, having seen and carefully analyzed both films (and taken long, cleansing showers afterward), I can safely say that "Mordum" is the new "king" of simulated snuff. That's quite a dubious honor, however, as I can't imagine these folks ever being able to live normal lives after being involved with something so incredibly fucking sick. Seriously, folks. This is one disturbing, fucked-up, gets-under-your-skin-and-causes-a-serious-infection kind of movie.

There's also August Underground & August Underground's Penance but they're not as good.

Look horrific but only one way to find out for sure. Not sure if I want to watch these on my own.

That's exactly why i'm watching it. I don't look forward to them like a decent thriller before bed. Razz But just curiosity & all the talk you hear. last 'disturbing' film i watched was irreversible, i didn't enjoy but somehow watched it all & now i know what all the fuss is about. This does seem a bit more disturbing tho, so i can see myself flicking through. (To the good bits) Razz

On a serious note, the concept does sound interesting that the main character is being forced into the situations (from what i read) so not just being a sick fuck & doing it for the fun of it. I could be completely wrong tho.

Something tells me Ste's already seen it. Laughing

Laughing

Started to watch it & i must say, it seems like a fairly normal film so far (as in decently shot, characters & the score isn't too bad either etc Quite surprising really) this is a big deal as all the other messed up movies seem to be very dream like with weird characters/dialogue/scenes but this seems different which i think would make the disturbing scenes all the better, if that makes sense? Especially as the lead guy (Milos) seems pretty likable family man too.

Even irreversible was a fairly normal film but still felt like i was drunk watching it & couldn't care less about any of the characters.

It's good, have you watched it all the way through?

There's also 'August Underground' and 'August Underground's Penance'. I've got Srpski Film downloading but it's not gonna be as sick as Underground Mordum. https://www.stedotcom.com/stuff/grin2.gif

Quite soft compared to these but I watched Antichrist the other day which has made it onto mainstream TV and it's a little disturbed if wierd, hard to follow and pointless.

I just finished watching 'A Serbian Film' & it's certainly the best of the controversial (The sick type) bunch, which isn't really saying much but this film feels like a film & not just some sicko director going all out, sure it has hints of that but for the most part it's a film, it has characters, emotions & a story. The build up is slow & the lead characters is likable. (A first for these films?)

Never thought i'd say this before i watch it & read about it but i'd actually recommend it to those who find these films interesting. It's by no means a great film, not even good it's OK just for the sake of the story.

It has a double twist! Laughing Never thought i see a twist in these types of film either.

It's very violent as you'd expect & has loads of sexual content, not the good kind either. Has a funny part near the end which i won't spoil but it has something to do with the guy wearing glasses.

Pretty much.

There's /only/ one scene where a new born baby gets raped, although you don't see it, just the guys bum & the baby's head. It was very hard to watch but the mother makes the scene worse. Only a couple of mins long.

Apart from that scene i don't reckon it'd been anywhere near as controversial.
