XT350 non-runner but maybe easy fix

1990 G reg (this is the full power one with around 30 bhp, not the restricted 17 bhp one)
33,000 miles
Full stainless exhaust system
Off road tyres plus nearly new Avon Distanzias for on road.
Bike is located in Peterborough

I was using this mainly on road with some light greenlaning a few times last year. Basically it was running fine up until the end of winter being used for commuting occasionally then one morning it wouldn't start. I fiddled with all the wiring and squirted WD40 everywhere and it started again the next day and ran fine a couple of days later for the whole day. Got up the next morning and it wouldn't start again Brick Wall

Basically, it used to be a good starter, usually first kick and has never needed anything doing apart from oil changes and the shims last Autumn. I can't work out why it won't start now but it's definitely an electrical fault of some kind. I spent a few weeks going through the wiring looking for broken connectors etc. and couldn't find anything but then it started again randomly and ran for another day a while back and that was the last time it ran:eh:

On the random days when it has started it has run fine for the whole day, including stopping the engine and restarting etc. but then the next morning it won't start...very confusing but probably a clue to what's wrong with it Confused

It's never broken down whilst running, it only affects the starting.

Anyway, I have another bike and haven't even bothered to try and fix this now for the last 3 months or so and it's just sat in my garage so I just want to sell it as a non-runner.

As I say, I can't fix it and I can't guarantee what's wrong with it but I reckon it would be an easy fix.

The MOT has run out a while back as I couldn't get it started to get it done but it had no advisories last time so should pass.

I'm just looking for offers really as I've no idea what it's worth as a non-runner. I have a month to sell it on here before it goes on Ebay as I lose my garage on the 30th September.

It currently has the road tyres, luggage rack, indicators and extended mud guard etc. on it, the pictures show it in off road trim as it looks a lot cooler Cool
