Fully comp.

Waiting for the Met Police to give me a crime number as may take 72 hours and make a call to the insurance in the morning.

I do not hold any chances of seeing my GSXR again. Had less than 500 miles on the clock and bar dirt, grime and dead flies not a mark on it! Booked it in for its oil change next week too, guess that wont be happening anytime soon.

Its a goo job the Truimph hasn't gone yet, need to get a new chain and sprocket ASAP and then I can use that again. I wonder if the theiving bastards want that...I think not.

God knows, got a CAD ref number for the security at the hospital to review security footage but was told a crime reference number would be given to me when the Police contact me.

Delay due to the Bank Holiday?

If I smash a bike up, cause an accident or generally is my fault then I'll out my hand up and admit that I was wrong. But theft? How the hell are you suppsed to deal with that?

Grrrr!

That's for the TIB to take the report on the phone. They generally work office hours so even if they're working the weekend they'll have a backlog of calls similar to yours to clear. There's a whole host of details to go through on the report, and the system's quite tricky to fill in quickly. A quick report with minimal info takes me 15 minutes to input/type up.

You could always find a 24/7 nick near you and report it at the front desk if you want/need the crime number now.

Edit: We might see it on the news soon, a lot of bikes in London are being nicked then used for transport in robberies - especially all the recent jewellery store ones...

Had a phone call this morning from a rather sultry sounding female PC to give me my ref number for insurance.

Only had 2 pics of the bike, one in the show room and one in this one.

Pretty generic really.

That sucks man.

I'm suprised that you'd leave a brand new bike sitting in Westminster though? Could you not of taken a hack in that you wouldn't have to worry about?

I work in London and see brand new bikes sitting there, I just think there's another bike stolen. Harsh but that's how it is Sad

Really feel for you fella certainly hope you get something back from it either you get it back or the bastards who took it have a rather nasty accident. Thumbs Up

I have sympathy for your situation mate but I did tell you it'd happen.

For information, put it on Londonbikers forum also.

Sorry to hear that, I suppose you could take the slight positive that as you'd owned the bike such a short amount of time you didn't really have the time to get attached to it.

I reckon the bike will probably be in some kind of lockup waiting to be broken or exported, so its possible that it could be found in the next few days, after that I wouldn't hold out much hope.

They pull up in a van. Scope area. Open side doors and two people lift it in. Simple. Gone in less than 10 seconds from when they touch the bike.

I do hope you don't get another flash bike and if you insist on doing so, buy one with a tracker alarm and an almax chain securing the bike to 'something'
