Bored again, so will probably be looking to flog the R30 and get something else, though i've no idea what, or if I will find it any less boring.

Comfort is the main issue with the R30 I just don't want to ride it anywhere because it hurts after 30 miles. Yes, i'm a big girl.

Budget, as low as possible, definately not more than 3k probably.

I'd like:

-More than 100 miles to a tank.
-More than 30 to the gallon.
-Reasonably comfortable seat. I.e. can do a tank range without wanting to get off.
-Something that will maybe require some tinkering from time to time, so carbs over fuel injection, i'm bored of just servicing...
-Jap manufacturer for ease of parts and cheapness. (CCM stuff is expensive, and though there are a couple of comprehensive websites, it doesn't seem easy enough).


Something 80's or early 90's appeals but i've no idea what. Something a bit different, or with a bit of a reputation (good or bad) might be good.

Really, I want a Hinckley Bonneville or variant Shifty But I think they are very overpriced, even used are still fetching silly money, and they attract too many twats. Considering what you actually get for your cash. Much like a Harley, though I want one of those as well.

Just want a load of ideas I can go and read about, so do your worst, if you please.

I presume the CB1 died?

A Honda CB400 SuperFour seems to be a logical choice. Its a newer and slightly tartier CB-1 and it looks like a cool musclebike.

For more left-fieldness I'd suggest an RD 350 F2 but I know how you feel about two strokes...

Depends what style you like, mountain bike ???, road racing bike ??? and if your really skilled with good balance why not go for a unicycle Smile Thumbs Up

Tit for tat really.

I preferred the more 'bespoke' feel and finish of the CB1, but felt it was a little buzzy. Fun bike in regards to an 'unfaired sportsbike' kinda thing.

My Superfour in comparison was a little more relaxed, pretty much just as quick, quality on par, but with, imo, better styling and more practicality. Like a mini CB1300, with half the weight.

Not at all, still going strong, though in the hands of my brother. Smile He lost his Hornet in a bike accident and I sold the CB1 to him as he was in a pinch and needed a bike.

Has had a new reg/rec I believe, in accordance with standard Honda grey procedure.

You no longer have the superfour?
