Hi

Well sold my Honda CG 125 as got fed up of it.

So thought while waiting for my test which is DSA booked for December.

In the mean time have some fun, but 4 strokes for learners don't cut it, so what 2 strokes 125 do people thing are good for fast fun blast about on ? I got about 800 to spend on a 2 stroke motorbike, and another 400 spear which is my test money.

Any ideas ?

Don't bother with the Aprilia or MTX if you want good reliability.

Personally I'd buy a nice NSR for £800 and be very happy. An £800 Aprilia will be a dog, and the MTX's will all be shagged by now.

An £800 DT could also be a nice bike, but equally it could be a dog. It is also a pikey magnet.

lol what the hell is wrong with a mtx 125?

i have had mine for 2 years nearly now and its done me proud, just needed regular parts replacing like new brake pads, oil and its been crashed once, knocked over by an old guy another time and its still got up and running straight after all that needed replacing was a brake lever and new handlebars

i have found my honda mtx 125 verry reliable especially after what it has been through and considering how many miles it has on the clock (over 40K)

Nothing IF you can find a good one, and Honda seem to have got quite poor at supplying spares for older bikes.
