What did you get up to?

Me, I decided to repaint my mountain bike and sort out the gears... Painting went ok, sun was out so paint dried fairly quick... Ended up breaking my chain and ordered a new one. Now I'm having a BBQ and a few beers to make the most of the sun while it's here...

Managed to get the missus to talk to me again, she has been baying for my blood since Saturday morning after some drunken antics got me in a spot of trouble. Then went gym. The party never ends in casa del ghostrider.

saturday played Oblivion on the 360

sunday mrs.t was away to a festival so I watched (old)"man telly"
The Sweeney, Minder, The Professionals on ITV 4 and then Have I Got News for You on Dave, and listened to Planet Rock (though they play too much prog rock for my liking)

today went for a ride this morning with a friend following on his SV, mostly on rural B roads south of Bedford, little traffic and just one speed camera - altough for the most part we stuck to the speed limits anyway, some of the bends I found I'd have struggled to break the speed limit anyway.

then just wasted the afternoon doing feck all. should be prepping my autumn and winter riding kit really, but watched Superman IV instead, don't know why, it's utter Shite Laughing

tomorrow bike is in for a full service, at Blades on the B645, so I get to ride the wifes vanvan back from there (with her on the back)

this evening is me trying to sell her on the idea of me riding back to blades solo on her bike, picking my bike up, leaving hers there riding my bike back here, picking her up and then riding back there to pick her bike up Laughing she's 1,000 miles on her bike since she got it 6 weeks ago, and I've been allowed to ride it just one mile.

Today I woke up, and went out to the garage after a while on BCF.

Got to the garage, took the CG to bits, all the plastics off, tank, seat, front end, everything.

Cleaned the frame.

Put it all back together.

Ate some custard creams. Had a cup of tea, then proceeded to make kippers on toast.

And now I'm back here, sat on BCF doing sweet fvck all.

Went to Cadwell yesterday and took a load of photos. Couldn't do the whole weekend as the missus had to work today, so cleaned the bathroom, watched Superbikes all afternoon and made our lasses tea for when she came in from work. Doubt I'll get any sexual favours in return Sad

Not a lot, finished up fitting airhorn and lighter socket to the Fireblade (what a job on a 954, no room anywhere) and put it all back together. I was going to head off to Snowdonia and camp tonight and do the Horseshoe in the morning but last minute decisions and communication failures meant I couldn't be bothered by the time it was arranged so a night watching films no doubt.

Fri: Cleaned the bike up, degreased warmed up lubed chain, tightened chain, fixed non beeping horn, replaced broken clutch lever, checked air filter and blew some air through. Went to bed.

Sat: Rode 150miles to Cheltenham along some cool A and B roads, had nice food, watched Old School with my fiancé's sister and boy friend, also played on Xbox360.

Sun: Went to Chepstow trying to find the Tintern abbey B road but managed to miss it and found another amazing B road between Monmouth and Chepstow.

See link:

Today: Spent the morning doing fuck all, then spent about 7 hours tidying the house... I'm bored. It was one of those days where you just feel like blasting the house and getting it clean. Won't do that again for another year or so.

Not been out of the house all day.. Not nice.

Instead of riding back from a great weekend with friends on Anglesey as originally planned, I have spent today hobbling around, assessing 2 damaged bikes, watching BSB and knocking together a Dopiaza.

Worked the weekend but went to Hednesford Raceway today, UK's fastest oval circuit apparently. Mascars, bike engined NASCAR replicas were pretty good, Banger racing and some Reliant Robin destruction derby fun.
