Okey, finally about to book some hols, really last minute, problem is, I want too much for as cheap as possible. Canaries, Croatia, Corfu??? Any other suggestions? Budget around 400 only tho and would love to squeeze to 8-10 days if possible.

What's better - internet, pop round to travel agent or calling them up instead? Who's the best? i'm no expert in booking hols to be honest, as I never could afford a lot so ended up going for short trips instead.

Cheers for any advice!!! And no, no GTFO posts please!!!

I've used Expedia for a short break and was very pleased with the service. Other than that we have a very good local travel agent (Bath Travel) so I tend to use them if I don't know where to go (like the predicament you're in) and they tend to have stuff leaving from the local airport.

Pick some cheap part of greece, cheap food, good drinks and the locals are tolerable. IMO avoid muslim countries; every time I have been to a muslim country the people harass everybody and piss me off so much with underhand cash extorting tactics that I want to kill them all.

Corfu is good, quite touristy in parts though. Malta is a boring tiny rock, don't go there - the strip clubs were raided and everybody was arrested the week before we arrived... not much else to do.
