Had a rather nice day spoilt by a pretentious prick.
Few years back I was friends with said prick, and his girlfriend aswell as her family, he then broke up with her, put her through a load of shit, whilst I was being the friend, put everything on hold and help her out as he had fecked off, only to find out he was sleeping with my G/F at the time, who happened to be a good mate of his ex...He then also got back with her after he had his fling with mine.

He pissed me off with that, understandably, and I haven't spoken to him since, nor his girlfriend which is a shame as, as a friend I loved her to bits, and I miss spending time with her, and her family her dad is cool and her mum was one of the most awesome people I knew, always had time for her, she sadly died last week, only 49

Of course that meant I will be going to the funeral, even though I can't stand ex mate, but felt a bit shit because I couldn't really do anything, but a lovely service feck load of bikes and walking the wicker coffin out to November Rain was just beautiful in every single way, and I was fine, got a bit upset when I saw friend in tears.

I couldn't really face the service at the burial ground and had other things to do, so I planned on going to the after party, get there and tu up on the bike and it is great, until ex mate comes over and starts talking to me, thanks me for turning up, I can understand that, then briefly says something about what he did and how it was wrong, then I had half an hour of him, telling me how he was going to get a bike, and how he can afford to do it all as he has thousands, then he is going to do this and that.

Sorry but fuck off you cunt, I didn't come here to see you, I don't want to here about your life, and if you can't grasp why that is, think about it long and hard, there is a reason I haven't spoken to you in 3-4 years you selfish pretentious cunt, go fuck yourself, I have never really wanted to hit someone, but god I would of loved to have punched the shit out of his face.

You turn up to essentially your mother in laws funeral, someone who was a good friend of mine, then talk to me about yourself, fucking arsehole, you pissed me off that much I couldn't even bring myself to go and see your girlfriend, my friend to just speak to her, because I know how much of a fuck nugget you really are and I am the only one who knows what you put that poor girl through, no I am not pissed off with you because you slept with my girlfriend, she was skank, but the shit you put my friend through when she had just lost a grandparent and had another seriously ill.

It's quite possible that he is pretentious even though nothing about him being pretentious was described. Its more than possible to be both a prick and pretentious.

I think if you think you are more important than other people it tends to give rise to both. So I'd suggest a high correlation between the two.

I'm also curious what you actually said to him during his half hour chat to you.

Its nice to think that somehow the world runs on karma, and he will be punished in the future somehow. However I think thats probably bollocks, so I prefer the idea that you think of some way to make him suffer in some small way. I know this is immature and hetzer-ish, and probably wouldnt do it myself due to possible consequences. However, I'd quite like to hear about it if you get revenge and get away with it.

Sadly putting this on a forum, might incriminate you, so I shouldnt really encourage it. Maybe some kind soul could offer to pm you with a way you could get him back for being a cunt.

On the other hand this is all just your side of things, and if I were the cunt I'm sure I'd think I wasn't behaving so bad really, and everyone's a cunt when it comes down to it.

Come to think of explaining to him what a cunt he is, may make him feel bad about it as he shows a trace of remorse, and you wouldn't be doing anything wrong exactly as long as it doesn't get too abusive.

The problem being that even though I avoided him like the plague and was very short and curt with him, he just wouldn't piss off, get the hint I am uninterested in speaking with you.

He is a waste of my time, I was best friends with him, but always ignored his "I am better than you" bullshit, as we were mates, he is the kind of guy that if you went to Tenerife he has been to Elevenarife, I merely pointed out I just did my CBT as it was all I could afford, and the response that was basically "Yeah, I am going to do my DAS I can afford it, then I am going to build myself a custom chopper, then I will do this, then I will do that"

If it was any other time I would of caused a scene and punched him in his fat fucking face, but I at least have a shred of common decency and I am not going to ruin what was a bloody good day and send off for a good friend, I don't want my memory of today let alone anyone elses memory of the day be me having a bust up with someone, and it would only upset my mate (his g/f) even more.

I just hate everything about him, but it his one upmanship that pisses me off, making everyone know that he has money or can do things better than you,

Sounds like the guy has issues elsewhere in life, the money talk and ‘oneupmanship’ is a cover.

I’ve recently met a guy who I’ve thought of because of this post.
I was at a party a couple weeks back and as I do I introduced myself to people I don’t know. I was stoned, pissed and feeling like having a laugh. This guy killed it. The funny thing was, he seemed to be totally uninterested in anything I said back to him and then went on to talk about himself BUT...wouldn’t leave me alone! Surely if you don’t like what you’re hearing you might as well just part company?!? Lol

He went on and on about his degree, how he landed a job after losing one in about 2 weeks and is continuing with his studies. I explained that i was finding it hard in my line of work finding another job, i suggested that at the moment employers are being pretty strict about job spec and opening vacancies themselves.
He said something along the lines of ‘Oh right yeah, well i don’t go for any of that shit, i found a job....’ yada yada yada.
I think he assumed i was still in UNI or something and then he finally asked the question ‘What do you do?’ I told him briefly about my Engineering career which isn’t too bad really, I’ve worked hard and never went to Uni....he didn’t really like that....it kinda quashed his speech on the ideal way of going about life. Pretentious prick.

In those situations try to play slightly naive, but use their personality against them, this should infuriate them and hopefully if you’ve done it right they’ll go away slightly doubting themselves.
