WHO THE FUCK LEAVES A BRICK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD?!
So yeah, I have a bent rim, brown pants and need a new front wheel. Ffs. Didn't have alot of time to react, as I only saw it when it came out under the car infront. Managed to swerve but it clipped the rh side of the front wheel, lucky I stayed on the bike and kept it on the road! Must have been pretty airbourne as I remember looking down on the bike from above
EDIT: Was doing about 60mph on a rural A road. Didn't go back and remove the brick as it was on a crest and I didn't want to cause a bigger accident or become road kill. Feel guilty about it, as I'd hate someone else to do the same. ____________________

So, too close to the car in front then? ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

Pah, shut up you rotters
Anyone find me a good wheel on eBay? Cheapest I've found is £125 but looks a bit rough, found a good one for £149. 99~00 wheels are different to 01~ wheels, just an fyi.
Going to go have a good check over the bike now, make sure nothing else is damamged. I think the rear wheel may have hit it too, as both front and rear tyres have a large white brick dust mark on them.
Will get a pic too. ____________________

It isn't that bad, would probably be a prime candidate for an easy repair. Thing is, the bike will have to be left at gfs house, so I'm not going to be around to work on it, removing the wheel etc and messing about sending it away. The paint isn't in great shape anyway, so a new rim is the easiest option.
Plan is to get a new rim, and then limp the bike to the local tyre place, to swap the discs and tyre over to the new wheel. Have a friend coming over this weekend, so luckily he can give me a lift home (It's about 85 miles). He's volunteered to help me with moving the new wheel and picking the bike up too
Importantly, pics! Seems the rear wheel went right over it too, although the wheel is untouched.

That really doesn't need a new wheel, you should see what they do to HGV wheels with big hammers.
Seriously, you could almost tap that back yourself. |

You should have gone back & retrieved the brick!
Then you could have had it ferenzikally tested....
Found out who owned the brick......
Found out who dropped the brick.....
Got a No-win-No fee Lawyer on the case to sue them for the damage to the rim, littering, carrying an unsecure load, and the trauma of the incident, & dry-cleaning of your kegs!
Oh & possibly the council and or highways agency for not cleaning the road or maintaining it in a safe standard of repair!
Tish! NOT going back for the brick! You FOOL!
