Hi, after googling which battery my 98 SRAD needs it came up with YTX9 - BS, so I went and bought one of these, added the fluid and it seems to be charged. opening the bike up i noticed its a ytx12 - bs. conencting the positive lead a few sparks came off. and the bike has no power whatsoever. is it likely that this has blown the main fuse? or could there be any other reason?

cheers

Did you charge the battery up before use? You tend to have to do that after you filled up the fluids on a new battery. You can check if you have blown the fuses. Tend to be somewhere near the battery next to a relay.

I didnt no. I bought the same battery last week for my TDM and it said after you fill it up itll be charged in 30 mins, and the tdm fired up straight away, so assumed it being the same battery with same instructions that it would be charged the same.

cool ill check the fuse when i get in from work
