Got my old exhausts off to fit these modded ones but they won't go over the pipes properly on the bike. They just get stuck and won't move.

Any tips on how I can get them on better?

Also, one of the pipes isn't completely circular on the end, it's got a very slight inwards dent which is causing one side to not fit worse than the other. How can I "iron" out this slight dent?

I don't want to crack it with a hammer and damage it but it needs straightening.

Where the cans hook onto the Y pipe, the new ones don't fit so well. I un-hooked the springs and they just lifted off easily but the new ones won't go on properly.

well to bend them correctly your going to have to get them hot...a rubber mallet could bodge them maybe?

As Chris said, if you bought them new i would have a bit of a moan myself!

No no, there was nothing wrong with the standard ones on it, I bidded on ebay on these ones which had the baffles removed with a straight pipe through and won them for £35, bargain.

Me and TUG spent hours trying to get them back on and they won't sink back on properly. Tried heating them up on the cooker and still wouldn't fit. Got a week to sort them anyway.

Now the battery seems dead, it started fine this morning on the electric start, first time. Then I turned it off and removed the cans and couldn't resist firing it up without them on, then it cut out and hasn't started since. Makes an electric buzzing noise on the batter when you try. Going to leave it on charge over night, same thing happened to that first KTM I bought when I took it out, managed to get a jump from a garage and it fired straight up. Bike hasn't been used for almost 6 weeks properly.
