This is my Bike.

https://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l41/marki_03/n.jpg

I'm planning on getting the wheels powder coated and all the yellow bikes I've seen seem to have black wheels. has anyone tried another colour that seems to work or is that it? If it is black then it will be a satin.

it's also fitted with a hugger and undertray, both in black. Thoughts on colour matching both, one of them or leave them black?

Is that a double bubble I spy? Does it work as I've heard conflicting reports one that it deflects the wind off your chest but onto the top of your head making it worse + whistling.

That a pyramid screen with a bit of a flip on it, works fine for me. I did have a double bubble on there but it was pretty much pure black, literally the same colour as the front of the bike and I didn't like the way it made the front end look. TBH, I can't say that it made a massive difference apart from not having to tuck so low down on the motorway. Its in my garage if you want to give it a try?

The rim tape is the main reason for the powder coat. It is really bad in real life. Laughing I tried to remove it but I think it has a molecular bond to the wheel. I do like the colour and effect through.

How in yer face are you willing to go? White maybe? Or blue, but you'd have to get some blue elsewhere on the bike.

Think i'd powdercoat the wheels black. If no pillion duties i'd get a seat cowl and remove the hangers and grabrail.
Possibly get the forks repainted.

Is the bike a keeper?

Blue? In your face isn't problem but its got to look right.

HELLO Mr Observant, the grabrail was already off when you looked last week, you spent too much time eyeballing that trike Laughing
It's something I've seriously considered. I think the seat cowls look too much of an addon, most are pretty boring, just flat bits of plastic. I would much prefer a solo seat unit but I've not found one yet.

something like this looks good. (won't fit tho)

or
https://www.1tail.com/productImages/152160
that does fit straight on, but abit plane jane.

Ok......I've decided what you should do Mr. Green

Wheels - White
Forks - Black
Seatcowl - Black
Mask off the lower fairing..just above the HONDA decal. Paint Black, then replace the decal in White.

or get some race fairings and go for a complete colour change? (i like the yellow on your bike BTW)

Don't know why i mentioned removing the grabrail as i remember you telling me you are going to fill in and retouch the cover plates. Rolling Eyes

Leave it well alone, it looks good as it is - anymore and you risk the gay/billy bolt-on factor.

Colour matched huggers are like matching trainers and tracksuits. Black(or carbon) is good.

Id stay black with the wheels also - I cant see it looking good in any other colour - though I would stick with the subtle yellow rim tape as it brighten thinks up a tad. Thumbs Up

I really hate seat cowells. My bike came with one and I sold it.
When I first looked at the bike above, I though it had a seat cowell, but only realised on the close up, that its a two-tone seat. Id change that for an all black one. Or if its a yellow thing someone has put over the seat, I'd remove it. Anything that looks like its pretending or trying to look like a single seat, looks bad in my opinion. Although I quite like actual single seat.

Otherwise, nice looking bike.

Nothing other than black will look good.

Marki, I think you're right there, I've been scratching my head for things to do to mine but as it is, there isn't a lot you can do without it looking like tack. Personally I'm saving for next summer, k6 750 Smile

Best thing you could really do is a custom paint job, but that's quite expensive. Anyhow, here's mine Karma

Yellow seat is staying for now Col, That one was cut down for the wife but I've taken a shine to it. I still have the original should I decide to sell it.

I've already decided to source a carbon front mudguard and may fit a carbon can or at least a shorter oval one.

Just for the sake of it I think I'm going for a solo conversion. Two options, either a race seat unit with a rear light fitted or seat cowl. The seat cowl is easiest but I can't find any with a decent shape to it. Struggling to find a race unit on Ebay but I guess there must be some out there.

Rear pegs have got to go so I'll need an exhaust hanger as well.

Anyone done this on a CBR? Suggestions for suppliers are appreciated.

This is what mine looked like before I sold it. I put a black hugger and seat cowl on it. I still have the seat cowl in my garage and no use for it.
