Posted: 15:08 - 04 Sep 2010 Post subject: EU ABOUT TO STITCH UP EVERY BIKER (AGAIN) |
 |
|
YOU ONLY HAVE UNTIL THE 24TH SEPT 2010
The EU is carrying out a con; I mean consultation about changing the MOT standard, and preventing you from changing ANYTHING ON YOUR BIKE.
https://ec.europa.eu/yourvoice/ipm/forms/dispatch?form=roadworthiness
If it came with a particular tyre, well tuff, you can only fit that one, want different brake pads, not going to be allowed.
This sight is the people trying to stop you being fucked over.
https://www.fema-online.eu/index.php?page=rwt
As for performance parts, piss my pants funny.
You will NOT be allowed to up grade/change anything that increase performance. EG France 100bhp limit.
And those EU clowns have got their heads so far up their own arses (when their snouts aren’t in the trough) and are SO BENT.
How else do you explain that a questionnaire that is supposed to be soooooooo, important,
(A) is only open for 1 month for the WHOLE OF THE EU to reply,
and
(B) doesn't have either country or bike specific questions??
So, if you ride or drive, click and fill in the form to make sure that the EU can't turn around and say,
"That as no one said "NO" to their bright idea, that they went ahead and did it anyway".
They seem to work on that basis.
How pissed off would you be, if you where in a pub (having gone for a piss) and someone in the corner said "unless you say NO, your buying the whole pub a round?
And then you come back from having a piss to find that you have to buy the whole pub a drink.
Welcome to their way of spending your money, and making themselves feel like they are actually doing something worthwhile.
THINK I'M SHITTING YOU???

• Powered-two-wheelers (PTWs)
This ever-growing group of users is the one where it is the most difficult to attain a significant
reduction in accidents and fatalities. In particular, as shown by the graph below, the reduction
rate of fatalities amongst motorcycle riders is lower than for other road users18.
...........MAYBE IN YOUR COUNTRY, BUT NOT IN GREAT BRITAIN...SO FUCK OFF... WITH YOUR WE MUST IMPROVE STANDARDS......
OR MAYBE
The problem of motorcyclists' safety should be addressed through a range of actions, with a
view to:
1. Improving awareness of PTW riders by other road users.
2. Encouraging research and technical developments aimed at increasing PTW's safety
and reducing the consequences of accidents, such as standards for personal protective
equipment, airbags, the use of relevant ITS applications (e.g. eCall) and progressive
installation of advanced braking systems, appropriate anti-tampering measures, etc.
The Commission will propose to extend to PTWs the existing EU legislation
concerning roadworthiness testing. Finally, on-going efforts to better adapt road
infrastructure to PTWs (e.g. safer guardrails) should also be continued.
3. Encouraging Member States to focus enforcement on speed, drink and driving,
helmet use, tampering and riding without a proper PTW licence.
SO,
COMPULSORARY ABS, NO ENGINE MODS, COMPULSORARY EU STANDARD CLOTHING.
NOT FORGETTING REMOTELY OPERATED CONTROL OF YOUR BIKE BY COMPUTER, TO CUT YOU POWER WHEN ENTERING A NEW SPEED LIMIT.
BEND OVER AND HOLD YOUR ANKELS, OF FIGHT. |

Its considered extremely bad form to go into a pub just for a piss.

Couldn't find anything in there saying they were going to make it mandatory to keep your bike with stock equipment, especially not tyres as you suggested. You are blowing plenty of hot air though, and I understand that's the prime directive of you and the rest of your tinfoil hat bridage.
You think you're doing us a favour. Kindly fuck off now, and you can gloat later if the pixie demons do implement the monstrous changes your type have conjoured up. ____________________ Current Bikes: Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 (2020)

From then on, I and the bicycle feelings deeper. |

AFAIK this story was doing the rounds when I used to read BIKE magazine, now I haven't read BIKE magazine for at least ten years, which makes this story OLD FOOKIN NEWS!
However on a more serious note, one of the reasons I left the UK was the fact that the wallopers you've got in charge, over there, bend over and take it up the Gary whenever the EU tells it to.
Funnily enough most of the other EU coutries sign up to everything, and tend to ignore whatever bullshit Brussels ejects from its all encompassing arsehole! |
