Copper grease / spray for bolts and fittings etc
PTFE spray and/or ACF50 as a preventative measure ?
but if your situation has got to the point of stuff being "rusted through", then prevention is already too late... maybe a suitable grinder and some Hammerite might be a temporary measure until the time comes for replacement? ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

As a general rule:
If it moves: Lithium grease
If you don't want it to move until it needs undoing, and you want to make sure it does undo: Copper grease
It's what i've always done and i've never had any problems |

Adding to previous post...
....and if it moves but it's touching plastic or rubber, then use silicone grease. ____________________ CBT February 2008 | A2 June 2008 | Yamaha YBR125 (written off) | Honda CBF125 (current) |
