Rather late notice, but there's another 6 hour endurance race at RAF Wittering on 11th of September.

This is a video from last time: https://tinyurl.com/3ycnj95

Give me a shout if you're interested and I'll send you an entry form.

At the moment I may have a space available on my team - if you're interested, pm your résumé Razz.

Quote:
The rules have been written to try to reduce the speed differential between machines. It was decided to restrict enteries to automatic ‘twist & go’s’ and Honda C70/C90 (or equivalent automatic clutched machines) ONLY. The day’s event will be held on an on-and-off road circuit, featuring grass, mud as well as tarmac, so note rule 9a.

The morning will include an open practice, a single lap superpole for the fastest rider from each team. The afternoon will consist of a six-hour endurance race for all team riders. The winners will be the team deemed to have completed the most laps after six hours, if it is a dead heat then the team with the most incomplete ped wins. There will be various prizes awarded i.e. Best Crash, Best Ped, Winners, etc.
There is the compulsory position of lap counter for each team. You will not have to sit and count the team’s laps all day but fill an allocated slot times during the day to count for other teams. The number of slot your team will have to fill will depend on the number of team entries, however, each slot will be a maximum of 30 minutes spread evenly throughout the race. This person can be a rider or team member who must attend their allocated slot times or their team will not be counted while they are absent. We will have standby counters provided by us for such emergencies so the other teams will not be affected.

The rules are:

1. All machines must be from a road legal based machine (build something special if you dare).
2. No Minimotos or kiddies crossers.
3. All machines should be of approximately:
a. Up to 50cc two stroke.
b. Up to 90cc four stroke.
c. A little leeway will be given, but don’t take the mickey.
d. No manually clutched machines are permitted.
4. A maximum of five riders per team, a minimum of two riders per team. (minimum age limit 16)
5. A rider may only ride for one team.
6. Only one machine per team.
7. All rider changes to be carried out in the pit lane.
8. All machines are to have:
a. Brakes that work.
b. Tyres in good condition (no canvas showing, cracks or splits)
c. No sharp edges.
d. Nothing falling off (at first).
9. All riders will wear while competing:
a. One or zip together two piece leathers or Kevlar suits. There will be no exceptions to this rule & it has been issued by the Chief Safety Officer for the RAF Motor Sport Association, who will be attending all events. (No MX kit, these events have some fast road sections).
b. An approved motorcycle helmet (fastened).
c. Suitable gloves and boots.
10. All machines will display a coloured number panel front and either side at the rear (ring nearer the event for your race number) I am open to bribery.
11. No alcohol is to be consumed by any competitor till after completion of the race, then please feel free to go silly.
12. It would be appreciated if all teams could complete all sections of the entry form, especially names, contact details and vehicle details to help us process your entry passes before you arrive.
13. NO fighting, especially on track, as it makes the organisers crabby.
14. A significant lap bonus will be awarded to teams competing in fancy dress.

The entry fee is £60 per team per race. NO MONEY=NO RACE. Pay on the day (cash preferably). All entry forms must be completed (including all vehicle details for all team members). If you do not have your team entry in soon we will be full and you will not be able to race.

Not sure, expect maybe 8-9pm getting back, but could easily be later.

It probably does matter re ripped leathers technically, but don't think they checked last time.
