Again probably been done before but I am new and nosy. Got any points on your licence? How many?

I have three points for speeding on the M74 (98.6mph) which are finished this October.

No points on it, and will not be getting any for a number of years! Probably due to not having a license which they can be put on due to it being made invalid by the nice people at the DVLA. No idea when I get it back, but they've got it all sorted as when I do get it back I have to re apply every couple of years and I bet I have to pay to re apply each time.

Nice and clean and has been for the last 10+ years or so.

Prior to that did once pick up 3 points for careless driving after writing off my Fiesta XR2(!) in a head-on crash...

In terms of personal statistics, bikes have been infinitely safer for me, having never been involved in a moving accident on one (dropped 'em loads of times though... )

Clean, which is nice?

A few years back I had a job delivering new cars. Was driving through Coventry in somebody's new 2.0 Astra sport. Went flying past a parked cop about 3am at 110mph. He took chase and for the next four miles, he had no chance, and I didn't see him. Eventually a turned up a cul-de-sac. He managed to clock me doing 79mph. Oh forgot to mention it was a 30 zone.

6 points and large fine. Should have been an instant ban, but driving was my income and I turned up and stood up for myself in court.

Before I am ripped to pieces for doing 110mph in a 30 zone. I know it is not big and it is not clever. Learnt my lesson the hard way and wont be doing this sort of this ever again.

Got a TS10 when i was on my Provisional , next year i will be allowed upto 12 points so i should be ok, another 4 years of declaring it to insurance companies though .

I seem to get 3 points every 2-3 years, just got rid of one so I'm back down to 3. Always on the bike, always laser speed traps.

Luckily I missed one in Kennington on Tuesday morning as I'd stopped for petrol and only just started off slowly again.

Got 3 points driving in my 1.8 diesel Mundaneo Estate......doing 30something in a 30............

I was going to contest, as it was so poorly marked that it was a 30 (you did actually have to look at how close the lamp posts were) and no discernable signs since I had just left a 40........but realised that I had been speeding on the bike long enough If I wasn't guilty of this one, I was of others.......... I didn't want to tempt fate.

I seem to be in a constant state of 3 points, varying between 0 and 6 as they seem to overlap for a bit.

I'm fast, but I'm not a nutter. 2002 was the last one, so another year and a bit, two and a bit for it to vanish.

Got two lots of 6 points within a fortnight of each other but due to my job didnt get banned They finished last year so dont count but still have to declare them to the insurance until December this year. My insurance costs have been astronomical for the last 4 years it certainly slowed me down

3 Points, from doing 45mph in a 30 zone, I had been clocked just as I entered the zone from a 40 one from which I had been doing 45 down, a result of having a broken speedo and not immediatly slowing before the 30 zone (was 1030 on saturday night, no people on teh outskirts of town and no traffic, other than the tail hugging car which later turned out to be the police ). They also threatened to do me for having a broken speedo and a missing front L plate, so was lucky just to get 3 points, but I still feel it was a little unfair at the time (and to get done as soon as I entered the 30 zone). Oh well, I Have to make sure I dont get caught for anything again, other wise it's good bye to the car license, it's seriously mellowed my riding style mind you!
