we only have 8 most wanted in the UK? Thats a little disappointing.. I was hoping for a higher number seeing the reputation most counties have for crime, drugs etc..

Maybe they meant 8 most wanted Brits.
I notice there's quite a few Poles and Lithuanians in that list, on the run for whatever mischief they've been up to over there, not for crimes committed over here.

Oh, I've been a naughty boy, I'd best bugger off to Blighty, nice and easy to get into, and I can live off the state and assorted whores, until the heat is off me, then I can go back to murdering and raping wifeys in Vilnius a rich man!

That's something along the lines of what I meant. Around where I live, I could easily point out several houses where there are known (albeit not to the police I think) drug dealers and the local chav scum who cause an amazing amount of 'annoyance' to put it lightly...
