Hammering it down when I did mine the other week. I did mention it to the examiner who said not to worry about the stopping distance.
I did mine on a 125, just give it some beans on the swerve and emergency stop to get to 50km, you'll be fine |

Good luck on the 2nd attempt.
I can't comment specifically about the current CBT in the rain, but I did a fair amount of my DAS in torrential conditions ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

[quote="nathandennisonI have booked it again for the 15th September and it is forecast rain showers throughout the day,.[/quote]
They can't get the forcasts right for the next day. So I would not worry till the day
TBH. They should wet the track anyway. So that if you can do it in the wet, then in the dry its a breeze ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |

I'm pretty sure these new test centers are fitted with a decent surface.
Your right about your 125 though, I'd just keep it in second and rag the tatty bojangles off it. By keeping it in second your also improving the enging braking when you come off the throttle (after you've gone through the trap of course !!)
As for locking up, I cant be so sure on the 125's, but I was forever locking the rear wheel of my 400. It turned out to be my riding style. I normally ride with my legs gripping the tank. But for emergency braking ( certainly in test conditions ), its worth sitting your arse as far back as possible to provide more grip for the rear wheel. You look a tit, but the bike grips, and you pass your test.
It was absolutely chucking it down for my test (was a very very d0gshit december day)... I wore jeans, should have paid 10 quid down a camping shop for some waterproof trousers as well. Its not the fact your doing the test in the wet, its the fact you travelled in the wet (so your already soaked), then there's no guarentee you wont be sat waiting around for an hour or two before the test can be conducted ( so your now soaked, bored, tired, stressed and you lost your nuts into your ribcage somewhere 2 hours ago).
Ironically, on your test you wont give a flying f**k, but do yourself a favour and at least be comfortable when you do it.... |

Pissing rain was no problem, really good tarmac. Don't even think about 3rd though.
Huge back wheel skid, followed by stopping with the throttle pinned open.....
....still passed  ____________________ Honda Varadero 125cc => Suzuki Bandit 650 33bhp => 77bhp =>
