That was my first thought seeing the second scene too. The gf watching over my shoulder pissing herself laughing said the same when she saw the liquid pouring over the floor, Judging by the toppled fork lift that might have been petrol and with all that metal flying around all it would have taken was just one spark.

Still fuckin funny tho!

Holy crap. That explains the mystery of some big ships vanishing without trace.

Not very good leaving heavy equipment like fork lifts not strapped down while at sea and lockers not bolted to the deck l,m surprised no one was killed.

Forklift trucks run on batteries or gas cannisters so it's not fuel. They are extremely heavy and solid though so if that guy had not moved when he did and got clobbered by it he would almost certainly be dead.

It actually looks like quite good fun, but i'd have got out of that big area with the tables and chairs and got into somewhere smaller or sheltered rather than stumble around the same spot. I bet they thought the ship was going over.

|I wonder if something was wrong with the stabilising.
It must have been close to going over I would've thought, they aren't really designed to cope with extreme rolling like that.

Hi

Searching round looking for the ships name it appears that the severe rolling happened when they were trying to turn the bow into the waves caused by a storm.

3 people hospitalised (comment suggested the worst injuries were when fruit machines tipped onto people) and something like 70 injured.

All the best

Keith

Begs the question why wasn't everything except the chair nailed down really doesn't it? That kind of weather doesn't just sneak up on people.

Cool vid.

How do these commercial liners prepare for situations like this? I'd of thought having the furniture nailed down would of been some sort of health & safety reg like Mooney said, also some kind of safety grab rail around the ship instead of just clinging onto something random.

I did a rather hysterical LOL as Rod sang 'I am dying' Embarassed

That is pretty much my idea of hell and just to think that I had a conversation last week and had almost been talked into considering a cruise, as apparently 'they are all stabilised these days'..............NOT!! Shocked

A cruise has always been my idea of hell ... and will remain so (stabilizers or not):
1) Chaperoned from port to port. Rolling Eyes
2) Stuck on a boat with the same people. Evil or Very Mad
3) Rough seas. Sick
4) There is always some form of 48 hr vomit inducing stomach bug going around Puke
