I currently own a Hyosung GT125R,
And was wondering how much it would cost for me to get a complete new look to it.

I am looking for the whole fairing to be respayed a different colour and a couple of graphics put on as well.

Does anyone have an idea on how much this would cost???

aye i was looking at something similar to this.
It is a picture from one of the other users.
and it looks really cool.

As for the license i have booked my lessons and test but even then i am sat on a 2 year restriction before i can ride anything big so i was thinking about sticking with this bike for a while.

Fair enough, I dont know your personal financial situation but i would rather spend respray money on say upgraded brakes/tyres, touring scotland etc... If you want the bling that pic you posted does look nice, but how would you feel when some battered old 500 or a chavmobile pisses all over your race rep 125?

Hi

Suspect if you are paying someone who does bike resprays for a living then at least £400, and suspect someone like Dream Machine will be close to double that.

A lot of money to reduce the value of your bike (and possibly give you an insurance headache).

No reason you can't ride a bigger bike if you do your test, you are just limited to 33hp (quite a bit more than double what the GT125 manages).

I dont see the sense of respraying a 125.

The money on the respray will never be recovered and when the test has been passed the bike will be gone for something with a bit more grunt.

Its only worth respraying something if you intend to keep it. I've seen bikes with "custom respray" sell for less than fully standard bikes of the same year.

Well considering it is red at the minute. And i'm getting gold and silver metal flake put in it aswel.

The question mark is just abit of a joke, since everyone keeps asking what it is. I'll just leave them guessing rather than them trying to Pronounce Hyosung. (Which shouldn't be on the tank)

spend some of that money on buying a secondhand GT250R engine that's 28.5bhp. That would see you through 2years restricted license alot better IMO. You could fit the bigger engine, maybe re-build your suspension and brakes with a few uprated bits and have a much better bike, than one that looks better but that is worse to ride!

It looks in good condition to me, so a re-spray is just madness! Go for a bigger bike or the easy engine swap from it's bigger brother FTW!

Very constructive

However must agree that if you respray the bike you will ruin what is a nice GTR and the resale value will not be what it could be. Stick with the stock colours and use the money to do your licence and get a bigger bike that will be far more useful to you.
