Textile Trousers

Hi

Someone reccommend me some decent waterproof trousers - I'm fed up of getting wet on the way to work as mine are knackered. Budget £150 max.

I'm planning on getting some textile ones and then a waterproof over suit for when it's properly raining hard.

Be used for 20-25 miles each way in all weathers.

And waterproof boots for that matter, too!

Spada Milan-Tex. £40-£50. I've taken them in a couple of serious downpours and not a drop got through. Only disadvantage is, your legs will cook in them. Obviously in winter this will be nice.

Another vote for these. I would say make sure you get the right size though. I have a small, which was fine for sitting on the bike and testing them out, but what happens is the waist rides up (I don't have them zipped onto a jacket) and you're in a bit of trouble if you don't have long boots.

I'm still searching for some properly waterproof textile trousers, so I'm currently using some army surplus waterproof overtrousers that cost me £25

As for waterproof boots, you can't go wrong with Sidi Black Rains, IMO. I've had a pair for about 3 years, used regularly, still look in really good condition, and never let me down.

Go down to the Army Surplus and get yourself some waterproof 'socks', they are seriously cheap and don't wear out like your boots will. Cost around £6 a pair.

I have a cheap pair of lined waterproof trousers, which I spray with footwear or tent waterproofing sprays (as they are mahoosively cheaper than the motorbike waterproofing sprays)...I have no idea where I got them, I've had them since my 125cc days!! (same as my leather jeans, which I use dubbin on to keep them good).
