Hey all,

Basically I'm based in Germany and I've been told today that I will be going to Wales for 3 months (some live firing sh*t..).

Now the predicament I'm in is, do I:

a) Take the bike over and risk not being able to get it back in January (Didn't stop snowing for 4 months last year in Germany).

b) keep it here (not garaged) and have no form of transport in Wales = boring times. Also how easy is it to prepare a bike so it wont fall to bits in the winter?

c) Sell it. Unlikely that ill find a buyer this time of year probably (for the price I want).

Suggestions please.

What would you do if you couldn't take it back in Jan? Would you pick it up another time?

Well id have to leave it at my parents and wait until the snow cleared (was around April last winter).

Then I'd have to organise some leave to fly back and then ride it back over.

It doesn't help that I'm at the furthest base from England. Laughing

TBH I can't see much point in bringing a bike into the UK during Nov/Dec/Jan unless you really have to. If its just for transport then get yourself a scooter or hack for the time your here, easy enough to sell it when you go.

Or you could bring the bike over and I would store it for you. Just leave the keys and a full tank and I'll make sure its looked after. Laughing

Ye that makes sense. I actually don't need transport as everything is on the base but 3 months without riding would kill me, so ill probably get something small but fun. Thumbs Up

If you live firing is at chepstow/beachley you can leave your bike at mine for the winter if needs be.

Perfectly safe in my front room.

TBH mate I have no idea where the hell it is, was only told about 5 hours ago. I suspect ill get the full details tomorrow.
