Looks like the bike tea leaves in Manchester are OK as long as they don't wear a lid:

If someone nicks mine, I want the police to chase them - and hopefully for them to come off and die!!!! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

they wer`nt wearing safety gear ie helmet & leathers, well boo hoo!.
All the more reason to chase them and pressure them into making a mistake.
Then hopefully they will crash and be terribly mutilated, spending the rest of thier scummy lives being fed via a tube Twisted Evil

Not logical i know, but it`ll do for me Smile

Yes, having watched clips programs enough, I know that if I were to be being chased by police; I should take my helmet off, then ride dangerously through a crowded urban area.

The police will then call off the pursuit and make it sound like it's them that 'won' to the cameras! :S

Police were following the correct protocol? So how do they expect to challenge people who are riding illegally without their lid on??

Tell you what, if the next bank or post office job in their area goes down with the scrotes making a getaway on bikes, the bloody protocol will change sharpish!

That is just stupid. I guess shop owners should keep a few different size helmets next to the bikes just to make sure thieves are well protected if they decide to steal one of them.

Also by the police making this kind of crap public they will continue stealing and now making sure they do not wear a helmet so they don't get chased.

If we don't wear a helmet maybe we can stop being harrassed by the Arrive Alive Camera Vans. I doubt it though all the Police do these days is make money for the government out of road users who in most cases would benefit from a ticking off (for being a couple of mph over the limit) rather than the heavy handed approach we seem to get. The Police don't actually catch what we perceive to be the real criminals. Until the Police remember that they are a service here to serve the public and not here to serve their own agendas, then we will continue to see reports like this. No disrepect, but criminals have waved any rights to human rights or safety! So come on Police actually do something for your living! Stoll on police comissioners that we actually vote for!
