I know I should've posted this in The Workshop part but I figured more people would look here.
Well I went out to lube my chain and get it ready for the ride to Donny tomorow, when I spun the rear wheel forgetting that the disk lock was on the rear disk, and its bent the bolt on the swing arm (as in the picture below) Can you replace these or should I whack it back with a mallet gently or have a fscked my swing arm?

Well, seeing that it's in the wrong forum I don't think I'll answer
Not a big issue I wouldn't have thought. If your chain is adjusted ok, just leave it as it is. Otherwise a hammer would probably be a short term solution. Some big pliers maybe a little bit more delicate though. |

Thanks for the reply G .
I have kinda bent it back, just wondering if/when I need to adjust the chain won't it be weakened or anything?
Or should I replace the bolt (if I can) when I can? |

Hi
It will be fine for now, but you will probably have to replace it before you next replace the chain (might not be that long looking at how far out the adjuster is).
Basically that thread attaches to a block which slides inside the swinging arm and through which the wheel spindle passes.
Probably only around £10 for the part and fairly easy to fit.
All the best
