Anyone tried one of the Bell carbon lids?

I had a quick look at one in my local dealer at the weekend and am considering buying one next spring as the Arai will probably be ready for retirement by then. Unfortunately they didn't have one in my size to try on so I only had a quick look. Before I go back in there asking for them to get one in for me to try I thought it was worth an ask.

Anyone had any experience with them?

They seem to be well put together.

Not had any experience with them... But they look awesome. Cool I've always had HJC helmets (can't afford arai unfortauntly, well I can, but can't justify paying £350 for something when £150 does the same thing - sometimes better). But those Bell (and the occasional Roof helmet) look awesome. May have to get one when my current HJC is up for renewal.

I thought my Corsair was light but in comparison to the MX5 Carbon it felt twice the weight. It did make me wonder how they would stand up to a few years use and abuse though.

I also managed to write an MG Metro off with an Arai so I've always stuck with the brand. Smile

dads got the m4 buts it not carbon, personally dont recon its worth what he paid for it. It sits low on your forehead which is annoying and the visor doesnt close flush. If i didnt know he paid £350 for it would of said it was a £100-150 quid helmet at best. I think ma bro's £90 shark s500 is a better helmet.

Hmm the visor on my Bell M1 takes a good slam to close as well.

but it is nicer than other £150 helmets IMO
