Either a gsxr k6/7 or 06 onwards r6
Could I ask from people in the know the specific peak bhp for the 2 bikes? |
Does it matter? It does 0-60 in no time at all, and you'll never tell the difference.
Figures are pretty meaningless once you get to a certain point. I've no idea how much horsepower my Buell makes except that its between 80 and 90, and its perfectly fast enough for anything I want to do on it - including trackdays.
What is more of an issue for 99% of riders is power delivery and midrange. If your 636 has more midrange than the new R6 for example, the newer bike will 'feel' slower, which definitely makes peak power irrelevant. Some bike mag a few years ago did a test to work out how often riders use the peak power of their bikes, and the answer was almost never. Hardly any of the riders ever used absolute wide open throttle!
Buy the bike you like because you like it, not because of its figures. |
Im quite into my trackdays so yes i do care for how much power i have and the way it is delivered, looking at the power curve of the R6, you are right, i'd have to at the top all the time. Another option of course is the daytona 675 ____________________ Previous: '08 Suzuki DRZ400SM > '04 Kawasaki ZX-6R B1H
