On the upside, you may have a possibility of a three some.

I'm curious about this "considering" bit.

So has she actually discussed this with you asking for your advice on it or something ?

It seems an odd way to go about it. Either someone leaves you or they dont, its wierd for them to tell you they are thinking about doing it.

So does the object of her affection fancy her ? Have they done anything together yet ?

Basically we are long distance and last time a saw her (couple of weeks) we were fine, completely in love and really good. And we still are. Only thing is she has this problem of a yearly cycle, where she goes off with someone new. It's happened before but not to this extent, she left her ex almost a year to the day they got together, for me. And they guy before him for her ex. Basically this is the only time she's showed any self control over it other than last year with me. She's got completely infatuated with this girl because of a) it being tradition and b) her being very vunerable in a new place, hundreds of miles from anyone she knows with no friends.

All in all she is trying her very best to resist and keep up the amazing thing we have, but it's hard to remember when I'm all the way down here and she is in all the same classes as my gf.

Considering is not the right word, but I can't think of a better one atm.

That's what the logic in me says but I'm sure you all know what love's like.

Also, we beat it last year, and I'll be fucked if after a year I'm going to let it beat me without a fucking good fight.

And Colin what makes her think she can have this girl is that said girl has repeatedly come on to her.

Also should add, no they have not done anything, although there have been enough opportunities, and yes she did come to me for advice rather than a kind of unltimatum situation or anything.

Ah right in which case you have problems. Or on the upside, the threesome is more likely then I first thought.

Having said that a threesome involving someone you love and someone else they are thinking of ditching you for, may not actually be so fun.

If it isnt this year its next year. Or if its not next year your going to spend the rest of this year worrying about whether it will happen again. Breeds insecurity which kills relationships.

Distance can be a killer but if you look at from an outsiders point of view it seems this girl just has serious commitment issues. If, after a year into her relationships, she feels the urge to get with someone then her heart isnt completly set on you. Simple as that. If she loves you like you think she does then it shouldnt even be an issue for you to worry about. Clearly it is because your asking advice from us so clearly her heart isnt in the relationship enough.

My advice would be let her go and do your healing now rather than a year down the line when it will hurt more.

Well apparently said girl is shacking up with another girl now, so I'm feeling a little calmer, although she might well go back to my girlfriend.

There's alot about our relationship that's rare, and that's one of the reasons I don't want it to end. I know I sound like I'm in denial of the truth, that she's sick of me and is trying to move on, but I know that's not the case.

Basically she is the most sorted person you will ever meet except for this one wierd, wierd thing (and I know it's fucked up) which has basically got all her shitness concentrated into one place. She sent me a letter before she moved that I only just got saying that I can make this work and she will probably be all wierd (like she is doing) and not be able to see straight, but it had a load of stuff that basically means now I know it, we can ride this thing out and we will make it work.

She means the world to me and I am prepared to get hurt over and over again if we can make it work.

I know that everyone on here will think it's puppy love, but I honestly don't think I'll ever meet anyone more perfect for me as she is (this one thing excluded Laughing )
