I would host as well...If only I knew how to open ports. Razz

I was going to post a thread like this earlier, it's been ages since loads of us have had a good race, so I have been having to race Germans and Italians who are far better than me with credits like 50/50/50/50 Sad

Bloody Gamespy Sad

Yeh i'm in on it to, except since i'm on a dial up connection... it really does suck... usually can only play with a 1 vs 1 situation which totally sucks... there's no fun in that cos i kept racing the same guy... if u wanna race... add me on msn as Titot182 then we can find IP addresses to connect to and stuff...

BTW, any of you get an echo effect whilst playing the game? I have a soundblaster Audigy 5.1 (original OEM circa 2002). I've turned my hardware acceleration to off as instructed under the troubleshoot, yet the problem persists. BTW, i remember racing using the bring ding ding and it was soo distracting for my mate that he couldn't race!! Razz . PS, see the pics of MOTOGP2.. Cheers Titot

Sorry to disappoint Titot, but this game only runs well on Broadband, we have major lagging problems with some people on Broadband, let alone having a dial up user. Sorry. Smile

Is there anyway you could get broadband? Confused

A bit of a bitch really and the only way i can play u guys is if i hook up onto somebody's LAN. A bit of a bitch really cos i was lookin forward to racing you guys and prolly making a hash out of things Razz Razz

I'll quite happily join in - if someone can point me to a copy of the game. If I like it I'll buy it (honest).

In response to the original post - you need to configure port fowarding on your router to allow people outside your network to connect to you.

It varies from hardware to hardware - best consult the manual or check out the manufacturers website. I configure my router using a web browser.

Try using a web browser, type this in address bar: 192.168.0.1

If you get a login box, try this:

username: admin
password: password

If this works then you should get a GUI menu allowing you to view info on the router and set up port forwarding - check the motogp2 readme file in the game folder on your hard drive to find out what port numbers need to be opened.
