Yes, you just have to measure the circumference of the tyre and then the pushbike speedo will work fine.

what bike are you planning to run it on? just save the money from your shitty ass speakers on your ped and but a trail tech vector and slap on there.

your little push bike speedo will last seconds in the dirt.

Saw one in use on a VFR 750 yesterday, the speedo was in mph and the owner couldn't cope, so had a bicycle speedo in km/h strapped to the bars, sender magnet on the disc.

ive done it in the past ,two problems you might encounter are

1)if it is wireless it might not send or pick up the signal due to the distance from the wheel to the bars, its a good bit more than a push bike

2)yet again its a distance issue for a cable type you might have to extend the two cables not a hard job by any means .

like the guy said put ur hand in your pocket its never wasted money and you can allways sell it

I cant believe ive found a thread where Ste is giving good advice instead of 'cat porn'.

Long story short, Ste is right, use a wired one not a wireless one as HT interference from your ignition will mess with the wireless ones.

the trailtech vapor is nothing but an expensive pushbike speedo, its only worth if it the extra functions on it that arent on a pushbike speedo are important to you. (my pushbike speedo has mph, running time, clock, max speed, average speed, trip and odometer)

Mud will NOT affect a pushbike speedo at all, ive been using a pushbike speedo on mybike for the last 6 months or so, am constantly taking it offroad and not even submerging it through fords then getting lots of dust and mud stuck all over it has affected it. I know a fair few people that have been using pushbike speedos on there bikes for years with no faults, the only issue is most of them arent backlit, that can be worked around with a simple led and a bracket though.

Cheers
John

As above - should be fine with mud and getting dirty, had no problems in that regards on my CCM.
However, I did find a cheap tesco one started mis-reading above certain speeds, around 50mph or so (it would start to show half the speed often.)
However, the more expensive cats eye one on the zx9 went up to 150mph fine (was actually on track!)
