Very close to my workplace is the UK (and i believe also European) headquarters of Kawasaki.
Every day, there's only ever a couple of bikes in their carpark - both, unsurprisingly Kawacrappies.
I suppose it's not surprising really, far more car owners than bikers in the UK statistically, but i find it a little strange that our office has more bikes outside it than a one of the 'big 4' bike manufacturers.
I would have thought that the staff would be a little passionate about bikes, and that they'd probably get them at a vastly reduced rate - or is it just that Kwackers are a load of old shite, and you have to pay people to own one??

It might just be the type of office, although you'd expect them to promote their core product a bit!
I suspect the UK kwaker office is sales/admin/marketing and as such has a lot of fluffy none bike people in it.
Think about guys doing full page adverts on a mac, running ad campaigns, organising bikes for magazines to review, organising jollies for journos, dealership management, parts management. Saying that, you'd still expect more than 2 bikes!
The firm i work for owns a rather large car company, and we certainly dont get them for free, however we do get a reduced rate. Problem with that though is the fact that their pretty expensive cars to start with. ____________________ Current Bikes: Honda CBR 600RR - '07, Suzuki GSX1250 FA ST '11

As crap as that is, if someone is a none customer facing bloke, then a specific interest in the product shouldnt be required. A good sales man should be able to sell an igloo to an Eskimo or sand to an arab.
A sales manager might just have to try and approve an extra X% discount for his sales guys to get a deal in, or ensure they're hitting monthly/quarterly/annual targets.
Personally though, I think if someone is selling something, and they're passionate about it, or understand it then naturally they'll do better, even if they're not the best sales person.
I've seen this in the technology world where people have got sick of the pay in tech, wondered over to sales and smashed targets because they can answer questions honestly and quickly. ____________________ Current Bikes: Honda CBR 600RR - '07, Suzuki GSX1250 FA ST '11
