Planning permission needed for rebuilding 'shack'?

Does anyone know about the likely issues around rebuilding something like this in to a house of it's original silhouette:

I'm presuming of course that it could be shown it was previously used as a house at some point a long time ago.

Just idle curiosity so far.

as your replacing like for like planning may not come into it but building regs approval will be needed for definate and by updating it ie stairs windows it may not be worth it

Rebuilding the house wouldn't really be my focus in a case like this.

However, I believe having a house that I was in the processes of rebuiliding would make it a lot easier to build a variety of 'outbuildings' and have a fairly large (motorhome) lorry parked there.

You may well find it difficult, I grew up close to that area and suffice to say that you're not a local so there will be a fair amount of drag with anything requiring feedback or approval from local authorities.

Ta, Tamacsurfer - expected something along those lines, thus looking to see if it's likely I can make my plans work with little/no official permission needed.

That's just one example, though quite a good one as there seems to be a motocross track of some kind on the property next door .
