I found myself handing over a £200 deposit on one of these bad boys yesterday. I blame my mother

Think its the Husqvarna TE410 IIRC.
Has twin exhausts and what looks like the remains of glow in the dark type panels on it. Looks like it could be quite an animal...

Had bottom end rebuild and top to match. Not the tidiest of machines but all there.

MOT and tax til end of year and a get a free MOT in December when it runs out with any work needing doing to pass included..Bonus! Except the rear tyre which I would have to change.

I know I am a bit of a short arse so got the guy who is selling it who owns a garage to lower it a bit for moi today so will see how it feels when I pick it up when its ready on sunday (if I can get out of my ten hour shift . )

Don't know whether its just because I don't have a penis and not a big tall burly bloke but they were almost reluctant to sell me it cause it kickstart. Kept flapping about it.
LHS kick and apparently its a bit of a bitch until you learn the knack. Take it practice makes perfect yeas?

Wouldn't mind a bike to get into greenlaning. Met a guy the other week who gave me his number to hook up sometime as he has KTM and stuff so will show me the ropes but think I will just get out there and explore.

OR try and source some supermoto tyres on rims as am tempted to get out there and master the art of wheelying alongside outcornering the weekend warriors on ma rusteh old byyyke.

Anyone out there own one? Reccomend me things to check when I get it/any quirks/faults etc to look out for?

It may be appearing in the Project thread as a tidy it up a bit.

It's not easy to kick start, but yeah, once you have the knack, it goes OK.

Not actually managed to ride mine yet, need to get it MOT'd. I'm definitely on the lookout for some Supermoto wheels.

Have sold my R6 to a friend. Still see it when we go out, miss the bike..now has massive chicken strips on it ! Poor thing..

How long you owned that Gaz? Suprised you haven't got a ticket on it to test it out.

Just wanted a bike that would go anywhere if you get me. As much fun as my MT-03 is pushed hard out on the lanes it is too much of an inbetween bike for what I need. For a start is much too shiny for the winter over here.

Where would I go about getting parts for this? Had a look but no luck as yet.
Ideally want to change the headlight as does not have the right one on it for a full MOT.

Want one like this with the plastic surround on it. Don't know how the electrics are set up but is it possible to put one from another make model on the bike?

Ah, MT-03 not so great at a guess. 13 stone comment was the DR600 specifically, as it was known to be hard to start.

I use these lights on various bikes for MOT. However, last time I got them, they were £35 not £50! Lights aren't amazing for illuminating, but for a basic ok quality all-in-one road legal unit it's not too bad.
Shouldn't be any major problem to stick most headlights on there, providing you've got mountings that fit.

Just discovered Husky sport and gave the parts department a ring.
Really helpful chap, gave me a run down of the cost of each panel I would need if I wanted brand new all round.

New to this game of headlights and changing such.

(well I say new...Kinda messed my GPR50 up a few times being a total idiot resulted in new swingarm, shock etc etc so have got my hands dirty before)

Just don't know where to start with this one. It says there that there is different beams? Aaargh just don't know where to begin..

Just going to have to wait for it to be parked up in my barn and then take it from there I think..

Kinda funky looking panels on there at the min will look into spraying them. Like glow in the dark things.
Looked uber smooth surface minus the battle scars.
Am thinking black all over to start and look into getting some graphics made up.

This shopping list is going to keep growing......

Dirt bikes tend to have flexible panels that paint often doesn't take too well too - as you'd need a paint that can flex with the panel.
Obviously the flexible panels are useful off-roading; like on Saturday when my mudguard got twisted underneath it's self on my front wheel!

Personally, I'd just leave them as they are and go get some more scratches riding it off road .
Otherwise, you could consider a sticker-kit to tart it up a bit.

Follwed that seller you posted up to his other items link and found the above. Quite like the look and has mounting bits included...

How shit/good would it be on the road at night/early morning though?
Like if I am on the road at 4 in the morning and its pitch? Know it won't be such a good beam angle as standard bikes just wondered what it would be like.

Still pretty poor I'd have thought - nowhere near what your R6 would have been like with it's dual 55/60W and big reflectors (don't have experience of the MT03) headlight.
You can add an HID to get a bit more brightness.

MT has a more focused beam than the R6 still pretty good though.

Would they just smash though if I was hooning and spun out on the lanes?

Not exactly going to look in proportion on mine compared to the KTM? pictured...Hmm may look at smaller twin versions or something.

They're not meant to look in proportion.
They are, I believe, baja designs twin 8" lights - designed to race at very high speed throughout the night in the baja 1000 mile race.
Probably pretty tough, but I'm afraid they are pretty expensive too .

oooo why hello.

Actually clicked that link earlier. auction though is my only problem!

What would I have to do to get them to fit?
Would they fit fine with forks I have on already? Only asking as my knobblies are sooo thin compared to them.
Just not sure how I would get a spacers if I need them...Ride the bike down to metal CNC type people with rim in a car following close behind. Ask them to make some up?

And the Husqvarna isn't a touchy subject, G's referring to the KX125 in the background that I've owned for about 2 years and not actually properly ridden yet.

I've only had the Husky for about 6 weeks, and not really had any spare time in that time to prod it. It should go through an MOT without too much work, because it's got all working lights on it, and a numberplate. The exhaust is fairly loud, and the numberplate is tiny, but other than that, it seems fairly legal.
