I used a Gerlert Tryfan Classic.

It did not survive siberia as the straps holding it on the back of the bike snapped outside Khabavosk so it went into the back wheel. I taped it up with black tape until the end of the trek.

I used it without a ground mat and also without a liner and it was ok even on cloudless nights.

Not bad for £14 on ebay though..... it turned to mold in the hold of a cargo ship... as did most of my other gear!

Ex MOD one.

My old man's got a couple of different ones summer, winter etc. He's got an arctic one, I slept in it in a freezing cold night in the winter and was warm as toast.

Used a -5 down sleeping bag when I was in Norway. Was warm as toast, had to make sure I was using the hood though as my face got cold a couple of times, was also the first time I had got frost inside the tent, had snow on the outside but never frost.

My girlfriend used a minus 10 version too, they where made by Nanok, I dunno how much they are, they belong to my parents. Bloody good though. Only thing with down is that if it gets wet it stops working.

Where are you intending to go with the doss bag?
how small do you want it to pack down?
What sort of money are you looking to spend?

If your wanting a serious piece of kit then take a look at alpkit with prices >£150
