Hafren Rally 10th October - trail style event

The Hafren Rally is listed as 'designed for trail bikes', though you can enter on your road legal enduro bike too.
I'll either be on my 690, or possibly a c90.

It's in midwales on 10th October. Should be a good indroction to off-road competition.

Anyone else want to come and play?

Unfortunately, presuming I enter, I can only either offer a lift there from Rochdale area, or a lift back to Reading area - and may stay around for a day or two to play, depending on what I'm feeling like and what else there is to do locally, etc.

Turns out you don't have to have your bike road legal, just looking like it - so stick lights and a plate from another bike on and they're happy with that as none of it actually goes on real roads!

Ended up using my new KTM144 (black, number 251 if anyone was there.)
Really enjoyed it! Combination of light well setup bike and lots of long fire-road 'breaks' meant I could ride at a reasonable pace (for me, still got overtaken at speed despite being near the back) on the timed sections.

Will write up a report if you're (un?)lucky and have got the whole thing on video, which I'll probably never get around to sorting 'cos there's hours and hours worth!
