Hey peeps. Firstly ill say hi (HI!) as this is me first post, names Kris.
Anyhoo ive been browsing the forums all night and found tonnes of useful advice however i still have a couple of burning questions,..

Firstly im all booked in to do do my theory on monday, my CBT wednesday, MOD 1 next fri, sat and test Sun then MOD 2 the following tuesday, wednesday, test on thursday but when i was looking on the web the other day i came across a website that asked for two weeks between sitting theory and CBT. Is this compulsory or just a company policy, my instructors (GMTS Perth) never mentioned it but im not sure.

Secondly, any tips on MOD 1 and 2 and the CBT? Im pretty confident when it comes to things to do with vehicles and dont usually get nervous in tests but ive only ever really ridden a mates 96 YZF750 up and down the street before so am biting my nails a little.

You don't need the theory to do your CBT.

CBT isn't a test, it's training to get you from pushbike to motorbike. I walked in with a vague idea about clutch control and where the controls are.

Thanks peeps! Thing is GMTS have really sorted me out on this, there DAS crash courses are usually 8 days solid but as im going back to scotland on leave from monday til the 17th theyve basically worked it all around my holidays! I have a day off between CBT and MOD1 then a day off between MODs 1 and 2 and its pretty much pay as i go so if i do fail my 1, i wont have lost my fees for MOD 2. So far they have really impressed me and i shall keep you all updated.

You'll enjoy the CBT. Getting out on the bike for the first time afterwards all alone is even better.

Well thats MOD 1 done and passed!! Passed the CBT on wednesday no probs and smashed the MOD 1 with just one minor for aparrently having the front wheel slightly out of the box after the avoidance test. HAPPY DAYS!! Oh and it stayed dry for both too!!

Cheers guys. All went well, managed 53 kph on the avoidance and 64 on the e-stop. Pretty chuffed got a coule hours MOD 2 training tomorrow and wedneday and test on thurday so fingers crossed!!
