the wiring under my keyreader (surrounds the ignition keyhole) has been murdered and i have been resoldering the wires together every few months for the last year... they just wont hold and are now almost too short and close to the actual unit to solder again with out smashing open the unit which id rather not do

ive been reading conflicting info on the web as to weather i need a whole new lock set as the keys are coded to the reader and the ecu, or i can just get hold of a new reader as its not coded to the ecu and just sends the information from the transponder key to the ecu which decides weather or not to start the bike..

has anybody had any experiance with sorting out the factory fitted immobiliser, i know its not gunna be easy to bypass it as it would be preaty pointless fitting one in the first place

as far as i can see my options are

cough up all the money in the world and get the stealership to fit a whole new lockset

get handy with a soldering iron and smash open the reader and solder new wires onto the board

or hopefully https://www.motomatrix.co.uk/ this site can help anybody used them, it means sending off my ecu reader and red key though and im not really keen on that
