I apply Scot Oiler oil manually.
Probably needs to be done more often than if I used wax, but in my opinion is better than most waxs. Plus it doesn't make your wheels so dirty. ____________________ Gallery |

PJ1 Blue Label Chain Lube (Optimized for O-Ring/X-Ring Chains, but can be used on Standard Chains too). It sprays on thin for ease of application and then thickens to provide an exceptionally strong film to lubricate and protect. It sticks well so there is hardly any fling. I've tried loads of chain lubes, waxes and oils on the many different bikes I've owned and in my opinion nothing comes close. Try it and I'm sure you'll like it! £6.50 for a large 13oz aerosol from www.busters-accessories.co.uk although you can also pick it up from a lot of bike dealers with accessory departments too. |

And the best method of applying chain lube
Step 1: To ensure proper adhesion clean all other oils, greases or lubes off the chain before application. Pre-use can storage should be at room temperature for best results
Step 2: Make sure engine is not running and transmission is in neutral
Step 3: Shake can well. Spin the wheel counterclockwise slowly by hand keeping fingers and clothing clear of moving parts. Apply chain lube to the lower inside “loop” of the chain on top of both edges of the side plates. Apply liberally for approximately 2 revolutions
Step 4: Wipe off excess application immediately to prevent fly-off. |
