My bros up for a few days and has no transport to do a few things whilst he's up. He's got pretty long dreds and none of my lids will even go over the top of his head.

Do you have to have an approved helmet on to please the law? Could he wear one of them push bike helmets on the back of my bike?

I suppose you could since I see loads of bikers on cruisers usually wearing German army WWII type helmets. You can BEND them with your hands!

A friend Andy has massive dreds, we get round it by taking the liner out of an old helmet completely.

I just pulled all the lining out mine and it fits on his head now but said it feels like someones pulling his hair hard. Really not much you can do apart from shave them off and that aint happening!

Well no.

Whatever he wears has to be an ECE approved motorcycle helmet.

If you look in most bicycle helmets it says they aren't suitable for motorcycle use.

You could chance it, but it'd be quite obvious if you happened to ride past a copper.

I've got an old lid here, which happens to be the biggest one too and I've just ripped out all the lining. Fits on his head now but wouldn't like to feel what happens if you fall off and bang your head in that.

Apparently, if you are a Sikh you dont need to wear a helmet due to their religion.

So.....

Just wrap a towel round his head, and if you he gets stopped by the police, you already have your excuse. Wink
