Yep, the 2-stroke KTM enduro bikes are all EXC, the four strokes are EXC-F.

From memory they come in 125,200,250 and 300 flavours for EXC.

2 stroke enduro.

The motocross bikes are SX, or SX-F and come in similar sizes. Wink

The EXC bikes are better suited to green laning/trail riding than the MXers since that's what they're designed for.

And a 530 2 stroke may be a 'little much' for green laning Razz (though probably could be tickled along ok, actually).

If you'd like a play on my 200 some time, give me a shout. Not road legal at the moment, however.

A lot of the 200s can be quite peaky and not very user friendly. The 250s and 300s only have a few kg more, but are a lot more user friendly.

Thanks G, mighty fine offer! Will keep an eye out for the 300s, but road legal versions seem to be quite rare at the moment. Crying or Very sad

The 300's exactly the same as the 250, just with a different barrel and piston.

250s tend to be more plentiful, then if you feel the need for more power you just have to fit a 300 barrel and piston. Wink

I don't think the EC's are much shorter than the KTM's if at all, the Gasser Pampera is though (Obviously you know that having owned one, just making it clear to others).

Gas Gas are very reliable engine-wise. The parts are good quality items such as Marzocchi forks, Ohlins rear shock, DID wheels etc.

Some bolts could be better quality but they're good bikes overall.

Incidentally; I'm heading up to Enduroland on Saturday, it's their big 'endurofest'. Think they've got bikes you can try out for a fee - last time I went they had the whole range of KTMs, nut sure this time.
You're welcome to grab a lift with me; you'll probably have to pay to ride the main track, but welcome to ride some laps on my KTM too.

Nope. I can't ride G's 200 EXC easily, but could ride Michael J's EC300... It might be a setup thing, or it might be that the Austrians are taller than the spanish on the whole...

Bendy rode my EXC fine before I did the rear pre-load, after setting it up, I can only just get my feet on the floor.

Thinking That sounds perfect. What time do you think you will get back? As I have work at 7.

Should be able to get back a chunk before that Thumbs Up - last lap is apparently 4:30 and about an hour an half to get home.

Details are here: https://www.endurofest.co.uk/ if you're bothered by trying specific models, worth giving them a call to see who will be there and what they charge, etc.
