I know I have only just passed my test, but wouldnt mind getting on a track in the near future. But as I have just said, I've only just got my licence so am still under my restriction.

Would I be allowed to go on a trackday or would I have to wait till its over?

Some tracks let 33bhp'ers on but for the life of me i can't remember who it is.

But in reality 33bhp on a track wont be that fun imo, worth saving up for a decent set of tires and the day then taking it on when you've finished the 2yrs.

Unless you can rent a bike, but not sure weather you need a full license etc to use it.

You cant do any tracks owned by MSV so you cant do snetterton, brands, oulton, cadwell, anything else you can do restricted and id say go for it.
I did 4 trackdays restricted, one in inters, if you stick to the tighter tracks no one will even know you're restricted.

Mallory let you out on 33bhp.

Trackdays arent all about going super fast on straights, it helps you learn the limits of your bike much better and how to carry your corner speed far better. Which is handy on a 33bhp bike.

Yeah thats what I want any way, I imagine by the time I get around to doing one I will be more used to the bike.

And I can do straight line speed on the roads but I always get cautious on the corners cos of the shitty road conditions where I am, not to say I cant corner but only throw it in if I've been up and down the road a few times that same day

Depending on how your bike is restricted (ECU???), surely you can remove the restriction for the actual day. you will need to state you are on a restricted licence for registration, but presumably you don't actually need to be restricted ON TRACK (put the restriction back in when trackday over) - check this with the organiser mind you as it is only a presumption ...

With 33hp on a phatty bike, you are gonna be wanting more ...

Well its err not quite restricted at the moment its only 60 odd break so not exactly quick any way.

Well looking into it Hottrax take 33bhpers according to Ham in another thread and they do days at rockingham which looking at it I think is actually closer to me than snetterton so may well be booking one of those for next year

My Sister is restricted until Jan next year.

This year she's been out at;

Rockingham - No Limits
Silverstone Stowe - CSS
Le Mans - No Limits

She's also booked to do Mallory next month with No Limits

All of the ones to date she's done on a restricted VFR 400
She did however take out a mates 600 at Le Mans as she was getting a bit frustrated being passed by all and sundry.

On the 600 she was doing much better, I think the time she's spent on the restricted 400 has made a very good start for her.

She's now bought a Hanspree 600RR which she'll be taking out at Mallory and use on the roads from Jan. onwards.

Well if they don't check the restriction and lets face it it's fairly unlikely I will kill any one so when it comes to it I think there will be no restrictions, as lets face it 33bhp on a track is just too little and its not like 60 is too much either

As I've already said, on smaller tracks such as mallory 33bhp isn't 'not enough', I've led novice and mid pack inters restricted
