NUTTERS

I would personally want about £25k ....

Just before the 6min mark - "if lightening strikes, there's no quick way down."
erm, yes there is ONE quick way, but the result isn't going to be pretty Sick

My father was a professional rigger years ago, so I had some opportunities to get into some pretty precarious situations - never without safety equipment though...
I was OK watching that vid, up until he was climbing the last 60 feet on the outside of the red pole - and the bit stood on the top when the first guy takes BOTH his hands off to get to his carabina clip Neutral

When I worked for BT a few years ago, climbing a 15m telegraph pole used to scare the crap out of me at first, and that was with full safety gear being clipped on at all times - so I can quite confidently say "Fuck That!"

I still dont understand why its not so windy up there that you just are fighting the wind the whole time.

Whenever I have been somewhere high up, it's been windy.

Be interesting to give it a go, but I'd want a parachute. After climbing that high it would be rude not to jump off.

I'd do it for a decent wage. Have done some pretty high climbing but nothing anywhere near that. Would probably have to think of the money alot near the top.

Also, the hard part is getting down Wink

Not in a million, trillion, gazillion, buzillion ummm, there aren't enough years to pass in existence in which I would even contemplate doing that job.

In short: I think not.

Thumbs Up

I can't watch the whole of that video let alone consider doing that myself Sad Not in the slightest bit interested for any amount of money offered, the lift ride up to 1600ft would finish me off.
