^ what he said.
The Arai label on a hat is just that, a label. Visor mount broke on my Arai the first time I wore it, that never happened with cheaper helmets.

This too.

At the end of the day all helmets must conform to the exact same standards and pass the same test to be sold in the EU. All money buys you is a name and lighter materials, Softer padding. All purely cosmetic touches.

Get yourself down to the local shop and try on a few in your price range and see what fits the best. I have a Duchini 90 quid lid and it fits me better than the 150 HJC one did at the shop.

Fit, which for me means Shark helmets, no other helmet fits.

4 Star helmet costs £30 most places. Go figure.

Interesting link (I think)

My X-lite comes out better than Arai @ 4star

Agree it is hard to find a good fit.

I've discovered that AGV helmets fit me really well. Although if my T2 wasn't free then I seriously doubt I'd have paid £300 for it.

Odd that isn't it, almost like some money changed hands for good results... Confused

Yeah I got the flip front version on sale for £60 reduced from £90 and it had a 2 star rating (V Can v210 I think). The one I linked is listed as costing £60 full price but a google shopping search shows it for £30 at M&P Direct Online Store.

I've got a fat head, so I find that Shark helmets are perfect. Tried on an XL Arai, and it felt as though my brain might have exploded Shocked

I've had an RST cobravent for a year and has done me well.
Good to see it gets 4 stars on that site too Very Happy

The only problem i've had with it is the padding on the inside. It has worn a bit so it'll move about more than it should if i dont wear my balaclava type thingy underneath Sad
