I guess you could argue this should be in another section, but I am not sure which, and so I put it here Embarassed
But yeah, passed my test (33bhp.. :/) with 7 minors, got my new bike almost straight after.
This is the bike:
https://www.pichosting.org/acusers/Wanka/bikeside.jpg

https://www.pichosting.org/acusers/Wanka/bikebars.jpg
And yeah, I have been out on it pretty much 24/7 since thursday, did about 200 miles today, took it to its limit (100mph, and it feels goooood:> only now I have to see what to do about my little restricting friend) and really just took advantage of the fact that I can now overtake, and get up to speed, stupidly fast.
I know it isn't a "big" bike, I know it isn't anything special, but I love it, it looks great, I look great on it (I love big shiny shop windows :>) and it really does get me were I'm going in no time at all, and with the biggest, stupidest grin I have ever had.
And even the feeling of nodding at learners, knowing that I am on a "big" bike now, its great.
The chavs/kids/people watching me as I (somewhat vainly) drop a gear and let her scream as I take off make me feel great, I really do feel like I have served my time as a learner (1 year 50cc 1 year 125cc) and despite the wait, it has all been worth it.
I could, and I have ridden it until my wrists feel broken, my ass is sore, and my *coughs* special place, is getting all sweaty and cramped, and yeah, I come home smelling so bad, being so sweaty, but it doesn't matter, when I am out there, nothing matters, it is a great feeling.
And yeah, time to get some motorway miles in, and just enjoy the rides out, yeah, much love.
Just thought I'd let you all know (even if you didn't want to know) because I am so happy, I have to tell everyone I can :>

Yeah, one thing I have learned now I am a member of the "outside lane" club Laughing is that car drivers really don't like to check for bikers before they pull out for their obviously more important overtake.
Glad the brakes and the horn work, and thanks :>

I know what you mean, with me I can afford the two stroke oil, or petrol, but not always both which is a real pain sometimes, oh the joys of random freelance work Sad .

Heh, thanks all Very Happy
And badlydamaged, anytime you wanna ride out, or whatever, just say, I will go anywhere (ok I will get lost, but lol :>) and yeah, just knowing I have the speed in it, is a great feeling, although when I find a nice long piece of NSL road.... well, I get carried away Embarassed
But yeah, I so don't want to drop it, it is just so sexy Embarassed
And yeah, petrol money, hehe, I am filling it up twice a day just watching the pump and I'm just like "wow..... four times the price, and only twice the distance, my 125 was good for something..." heh.
And Craig, you still got your GS500? Because if you have, I just wanna say, they rock :> Thumbs Up
Although because mine came so shiny... and all nice looking.... I think I am turning into what is known as "a tart" Embarassed
Thanks everyone, and yeah, woohoo:)

Why you fretting for? You already said it goes 100 MPH, surely that is enough for the public highway Wink .

Well done Josh! Take it easy mate, don't want you falling off within 2 weeks do we! Smile

heh, I want a GS500F for when and if I pass, so it would be quite cool to go on a rideout. Razz

New top indicated speed.
115mph.
I am going to ride out with badlydamaged in about an hour, so to make sure I could find him I took a ride this morning to the meeting place, on the way back I decided to play (I'm not a hooligan honest) lets see if this sporty looking jag can keep up.
We overtook each other a couple times on the way back just passing caravans coz one pulled out first so we were just.... swapping places, then along came a nice hill, I was in front, I left him and hit 115 indicated.
So I am not quite sure if it is restricted or not, it has the cert though... so you know, I'm good. Very Happy

Its shouldn't go above 100MPH, but then again your speedo could be well out or it may not be restricted properly, or the could have fallen out Laughing.

Mine indicates a top speed of about 115MPH too, and mines full power but then again I don't have a full fairing Razz.

Lmao, shouldn't have fucked up my airfilter should I? Although come on..... I Wasn't *THAT* slow Very Happy . Josh's bike is very nice and comfy and I am Insanely Jealous of him Twisted Evil. Had a few panic moments after some twisties to find Josh not there, and me thinking for a breif second that he had binned it Laughing .

I nearly did lose it once, it was breaking for a corner after I had ridden through some.... animal crap.
But yeah, not knowing the corners or my bike, badly was making good distance from me at some points.
And yeah, the air filter, once that got better, the only times you were going slower than I would have been going anyway where the steep uphills, and the long straights, it was a good day, some nice roads, and a couple of bad tiny poo covered lanes, but it was all good.
And your little wheelies <3 :>:>
And Craig, you should come down south (lol long journey Smile) just for the sake of testing my speed against yours, lol. :>
Although I only do in excess of 80 really when I am.... bah, it was all the way home, I am a speed freak, lucky I know where the cameras are, and there were no police about... Embarassed

It is a bit of a long Journey yes, but would be fun Laughing, maybe you could come up to Elvington in August and we can test them then Razz.

There were some dodgy over taking moments, going past that Fiesta I was certain I was going to be wiped out by something coming the other way, just about managed to keep the momentum up to get passed him. I really need to get my test done so I can have the power to get out of those situations.

That rubbishy road I took you down was really odd, some of it was covered in shit and really narrow, but there was one or two long wide stretchs that ran parralel to the dual carriadge way that I doing 65 down, before it turned straight back into a really narrow crap covered country lane without warning. Didn't know roads could suffer schitzophrenia (spelling?).

It was funny seeing those chaps on the 125 Yamahas making that epic 260 mile trip to corwall, seemed like good blokes Thumbs Up . Dont worry, I nearly binned my bike as well, coming down crockly dip (bloody scary road at speed) and grounding the stand, didn't half make the bike wobble Shocked .

I just loved following you for two reasons:
1)The smell, I could pipe that into my room, its so funky :>
2)Watching cars/mini tiny bedford vans pull right over and slow down as you overtake them pulling out of junctions, some class overtaking, but it gave us a clear road Smile
And that caravan that pulled up left to let us pass, he was cool :>
Some thoughtful people on the road Smile
