Looks good, at least there will be a few more corners to break up the two big straights. Should create a few more viewing options as well. Ready for the 2011 season according to there website.

Has been around for about 4 years now. Will be good if it eventually happens.
Was originally planned with a large hotel and business complex and possibly a new train station, but then the financial world imploded and normal life as we know it ended.

It says they want to try and gain an FIA grade 2 licence, any ideas what kind of race classes that would include.

+1

First heard of it a few years back. To be fair I'm not sure if it will happen in the next few years. Everyone's cutting motorsport budgets, so it wouldn't make much sense.

The original plans were for a circuit that could hold everything accept F1. They had a load of plans up in the circuit office around 2007, might still be there.

Not quite ready Smile

Can't wait to try it out. Looks like it has a nice mix of left turns.
Apparently the new corners are inspired by famous corners, the Parabolica, Lesmo 1, Rivazza and the Montreal Hairpin are supposed to be in there, not sure how closely they match up though Smile

Did I mention I only live 20 minutes away Mr. Green

I saw a design a few years back but it didnt look anything like that afaik.

I like it, its snetterton with extra corners, love that revitt straight almost as long as it ever was, abiet slightly slower entry speed Thumbs Up

Boo.. it's shorter and slower Thumbs Down.

And I liked sears - as you could (well, sensible people could) run wide happily - it probably did disadvantage you slightly`, but you could happily push to the edge and get it a bit wrong.

Similarly like the end of the straight which is excellent for testing your late-braking balls as you can run straight on if you find you don't actually have any! Smile

No no no, sears was horrible off camber corner, not only have I crashed there but run straight on after missing my braking point a few times too, good riddance Razz
