Pulled up at Old Street roundabout today, tinkling down so here's me in my textile waterproofs and gear all nice and dry, then a geezer pulls up beside me on a vespa in his suit, shirt, tie and dress shoes Shocked he was soaked to the skin!. all I'm thinking is christ as well as getting soaked if he comes off its gonna leave a mark. I know we have all seen youths out in trackies etc but this was a middle aged man, I have to giggle some of the sights I see on the roads.

Ped boys cant win! They get slated for wearing trackies, and now they get laughed at for being too over the top with gear!

The road hurts just the same no matter what bike you are on Exclamation

I came off my Blade in a suit, giving it large on my way to a lesson, also taking out a girl on a bicycle as she jumped a light for the pedestrian-crossing. The bicycle landed on the bonnet of a limo (the girl had a bruised hip).

Yay, I win! Laughing

Actually it wasn't for a lesson, I mis-remembered. It was for an interview (as an English teacher while in Japan). I was late, blood-stained and my suit was pretty shredded. I didn't get the job and I seem to recall it hinged on them disliking the notion of me using a bike to get into work.

Although not bike related, I once fell from top to bottom of a set of concrete steps at Parkstone station runing for a train to get me to an interview...

I turned up with both knees out of my whistle, and a pair of palms so bloody it looked like stigmata...

AND got the job... sympathy FTW Thumbs Up

I had a train delayed then a bus breakdown on the way to an Interview I ran the last 4 miles in summer, in a suit carrying my jacket-got there in time-didn't get the job as they had worries about my levels of commitment and effort.

not my worst interview experiance though

Ahhh yeah.

72 hours in Hospital with no skin on my forearms, crying for mummy. I remember the days.
