It was taken in a club called ACAFESS (Afro-Caribbean Association For Economic And Social Standing) that used to play live jazz until 3.30 in the morning. The place had a fearsome reputation for drug dealing and violence and was eventually closed when one to many people got shot dead.
The guy to my left is Trevor who was playing double base and the guy on the far right is Steve who played alto. I was madly in love with two of the girls who just happened to be sisters and quite fancied the third.
I have little recollection of the occasion but the photo may have been for a publicity shot for an album or a gig.

Taking pictures is one thing I wish I did more of.
I still love going through my Parents and Grandparents shoe boxes full of pictures. For some reason I'm always naked and standing in a bucket in them
(I mean FFS I was 19 I should have been aloud in the pool too )
