n00b wants to learn

hey there guys

I have seen a few vids of some green laneing and it looks like a lot of fun

i was wanting to get into it however i don't have a full licence is it OK to do trails on a 125cc? i have a road bike that is essentially a dt125 would that be up to it. its fitted with knoblies and other off road bits and bats

i was also wondering how to find green lanes is it just a case of riding round looking for decent ones or is there a website that lists them?

im in york area so if anyone round here wants to accompany a n00b on a trail and show me a few spots and techniques id be happy to spend a day in the mud also if i am to go out alone are there any spares i should take and equipment like satnav ect?

You will need a good OS map to show you the local green lanes.

DT with knobblies will probably be fine, as will L plates so long as you have insurance etc...

Green lanes are just normal roads but generally less... roady all the same rules apply

hey mate, i'm from hull, and there is a couple of us here that go down to out local quarry as there is some great green lanes leading down to it, and then you get to do some ace hills once your there, we often have bbq's there aswell, it really is a good day, anyways if you can find it, you will see us there nearly every sunday, i no it's a fair way from york tho on a bike
