Hi folks have had my rbp125 or skyjet or what ever you want to call it for a year now have not had one single problem with it despite what people have told me and stories i have heard it has just turned 10000km.

its more of a concern than anything really, when i bought the bike a year ago i only payd 500 for it its 07 i noticed that the clutch was very heavy just thought that this way normal because there was hardly any miles on it so thought no more of it but after having it a year and doing over 8k km its still tight is this normal or if not is there anyway to make it easier to pull?

also ive had 80mph out of this bike didnt think that was possible out of a 4stroke im thinking the speedo might be a bit out Laughing and there doesnt appear to be a rev limiter so it revs for ever lol Wink

thanks in advance[/b]

its Chinese be thankful it runs lol

OK in all seriousness have you tried adjusting it?

Im a big fan of chinky bikes and the clutches are always quite heavy but can useuly be adjusted out look at the cable and follow it dow to the the adjuster make sure that its not trap'd or following any tight corners (i once had one that was bent in half under the tank! and you think your clutch is heavy!!)

there fairly simple to adjust just turn the bolts until it feels right it takes a little practice but is easy enough to get the hang off

just had a look and it spears to be free and not trapped it starts to grip when the lever is about half way out and will take off about 3/4 way out not sure if thats good or bad.

and no one is surprised more than me that its still running i seem to be the only person that hasnt had trouble with one of them haven't replaced a thing since i got it and it gets crazy mpg figures lol.

never tried adjusting it but as a comparison my mate rides a cg125 and i can literally pull his clutch lever with my little finger but my clutch i have to use my four fingers to pull it i always get a cramp after about an hour of riding so i have takin to only using the clutch to take off with now and changing gear without it.

but as you said its a wing wong bike so i cant exspect it to be perfect lol.

The adjuster won't change how heavy it is really.
You could see if lubing the cable helps, otherwise it may just be how the bike is setup.

There definitely do seem to be some generally better brands and even the band brands often have good and bad days - I suspect you want one made mid-week and maybe when metal prices are cheaper so they can afford to spend a bit more on the proper compounds Smile.

I'd be disconnecting the cable at the bottom end to check if it's a problem with the clutch mechanism itself or just the cable that's stiff.

CLutch cables can get very stiff indeed if one of the strands starts to unravel inside the outer.

A few drops of oil on any pivots on the outside part of the clutch mechanism can't do any harm.
