 |

Hi
After much looking and many insurance quotes I decided to run with Honda Insurance for my Hornet. That was back in April.....Since then I have had to call them loads of times (sorry your in a que and all that) , mainly to get a new cover note, as they ain't sent me a new one. Oh and I'm still waiting my certificate, even though the last time I called them it was ready to be sent out!
Is this normal? Has anyone else had a problem with them? Any ideas? ____________________ '98 Hornet 600 - Tahitian Blue - 'tis very nice!!!

It's the official Honda Insurance scheme. The one that you're supposed to be able to use through the net, but even that's not up and running yet!
I'm on the third cover note so far and each one has needed a phone call before it has been sent out. I need my fourth now, as the last one ran out on 18th July.
Am I right in thinking that I can still ride my bike and be covered, even though I have no cover note - I mean the insurance hasn't been declined or anything? ____________________ '98 Hornet 600 - Tahitian Blue - 'tis very nice!!!

When I was insured through Devitt they managed 6 cover notes before I go my certificate. Yo would think they would want to get the certificate out quickly rather than having the cost of posting you a cover note monthly. I am with motorcycle direct this year and the certificate was on my doorstep within two days - now there is service! ____________________ Suzuki RF 600 - The two wheeled Testarossa (Deceased)

I'm with Honda, cover note arrived two days after I took out the insurance and the certificate a week later. Had no trouble with them so far.
They beat my best quote by £50 as well as lowering my XS by £150, giving me cover for all bikes, 90 days Euro, and RAC recovery for £25. Couldn't argue. |

When I was with Bennets they tried to up my renewal by £1200 saying that they were now only able to offer me F/C? Oh how I laughed. Strangely I didn't take them up on their kind offer and got insured for less than I paid on the R6 a year before.
They also failed on several attempts to send out my cover note to the garage so that my new bike could be registered. I mean they only had several reminders over a two week period to get it sorted so it wasn't their fault. They ended up paying for a taxi to send the note to the dealer a day before I was due to pick the bike up. |

Yes Key67, i had the same problem with honda!
First of all, i got a temp note, second month i got a temp note and a honda addressed envelope, asking for: a copy of my Licence, CBT, and original No claims Bonus proof!
They recieved these(to my knowledge) and sent me another cover letter!
I then called the number in the bottom right hand corner of the page!(said CIA insurance!says Zenith at the top, Somewhat baffled me)
Anyway, aswell as this months temp cover note, i recieved another envelope, and sent off my details again! So, i wont be using their services again!
just waiting to see if the cert arrives!
Oh, my policy was also taken out in April! |

Give motorcycle direct a go: 0870 756 2555, this number specialises particularly with Honda's. I got quoted 460 for my XR125L in London TPO and i'm only 17. Best quote was Carole Nash with 675. Hope it works for u guys! ____________________ The Tot 2019 Z1000SX - 2007 R1
